Soooo, no big surprise here but my dealer is trying to back track on the X plan deal we made when I placed the order back in March. I knew at the time I placed the order that Ford was not honoring X plan but the Specialist I worked with assured me they would honor that price if I moved my reservation to them.

It’s not my first rodeo so I made sure to get that offer in writing and had the GM sign off on it before placing the order.

Fast forward 9 months and I’m finally ready to take delivery (night 1 res holder). Dealer now claims that Ford, at the time, was honoring X plan but they no longer are so all he can do is MSRP. None of that is true but here we are. I’m going to discuss with them in person and will keep their name out of it until I get a resolution.

Curious if anyone was able to successfully get X plan level price or if they have had a similar experience.

UPDATE: After going to the BBB and posting several negative reviews (including feedback to Ford) my dealer finally honored our agreement after a few weeks of back and forth. Given all of the ADM horror stories I’m one of the lucky ones. Just grateful to have my Bronco at this point. I’m loving it.

If your x plan deal isn’t in writing you’ll pay MSRP like the rest of us. My dealer told me they would honor X plan if ford would, but Ford didn’t.

Did you read his post? He said he got it in writing from the GM before placing the order. Now getting it in writing from Ford is a whole different story. If Ford isn't backing the Dealer on x-plan, you can't expect the dealer to follow suit and take a hit.

With the way the market is right now, MSRP IS the deal. Or, go buy something else used and pay stupid amounts lol

I missed the sentence about the GM signing off on it. Good luck forcing them to honor it when they can sell it to someone else with ADM. I predict this deal moving forward at MSRP.

Seeing how I have a legally binding contract, a great attorney, and the ability to go scorched earth on social media including this forum I think I have more leverage than you realize.

This is a warning to anyone that thinks they are going to just walk in and sign the papers come delivery. Dealers are scum and you can expect to renegotiate any prior agreement.

depends how the signed agreement was worded. could it be read as they were agreeing to xplan? or did they agree to xplan level pricing without actual xplan?

A few dealers were offering invoice pricing, and most of those dealers are now full of pissed off customers because they oversold their allocation 10x over and their orders are not getting filled.

I had a day 1 reservation and have an X Plan pin because I am a shareholder. I also have used the same salesman and dealership (Future Ford of Clovis) for 20 years and have bought a lot of Fords from them. They honored MSRP and took my X Plan pin on delivery of my Bronco October 1st. I am positive my relationship with them and being a shareholder played a huge part in getting that deal.

So did you get MSRP or X plan? You mentioned they “honored MSRP and took my X Plan pin” so I’m confused.

For someone who posted on a message board asking for thoughts, you sure seem like you don't want.... thoughts.
I’m open to thoughts, just intelligent ones. My ask was pretty clear…”Curious if anyone was able to successfully get X plan level price or if they have had a similar experience.”

I’m also pretty heated right now after waiting 18 months through this whole ordeal and having a stick poked in my eye at the finish line so you’ll have to forgive me.

That is correct. They honored MSRP and took my X Plan, which brought the price down lower than MSRP. That's my fault. I should have been more clear. 4 door base, SAS, soft top, aux switches, floor mats. Out the door for 40k.

Nice going! I know there are some good dealers out there but seems like for every good one there are 10 sleaze balls that will say and do anything to get the business. I’m in sales and it’s car salesmen that give other sellers a bad rep and make our jobs that much harder. Hope you enjoy the new ride.

They (my salesman) had told me from day 1 that Ford was not honoring X Plan on the Bronco and I would pay MSRP. Up until the day before I picked it up, that was still my understanding. But he called the day before delivery and told me to bring my pin number and he would honor my X Plan. I really do think that the only reason I got that deal is because of my long standing relationship with them and that I am a shareholder.

MSRP is still a good deal, compared to some of the ADM stories I have seen on here. I know we all want the best deal, but if they are honoring MSRP for you, I say take it. I love my Bronco and I know you will too.

I was early reservation at my dealer and got xplan w/o Ford honoring it, dealer just did that for early orders. I just had to bring a valid pin in.

I got “x plan” type pricing at my dealer.

If you have what you say you have in writing from the GM, I think you are on very solid ground indeed. I was fortunate to buy my bronco from Kearny Mesa Ford in San Diego, which committed to and honored an x-plan equivalent discount as long as I had a PIN number. And no adm, etc.
