Dana just announced layoffs so I’m assuming no deal anytime soon.nothing worth repeating on here as there is too much speculation. The suppliers are talking about some leaked info, but with no credible sources as of now it's wait till Friday
So anyone could just step in and do what you do then right? No hard work or effort needed? I'm assuming they would start at a pretty high living wage as well, regardless of experience or qualifications.I fly drones for a living, have a degree in CSE and EE.
I'm hoping for some news tomorrow am, if anything comes up will postDana just announced layoffs so I’m assuming no deal anytime soon.
Your definition of hard work and my definition of hard work are definitely not the same lol.So anyone could just step in and do what you do then right? No hard work or effort needed? I'm assuming they would start at a pretty high living wage as well, regardless of experience or qualifications.
IBEW, 25 years.I took no offense sir,
Ive been union for 20 years (almost) I just have a skewed view of the world
I hope they make a deal soon.I'm hoping for some news tomorrow am, if anything comes up will post
Yes sure..but there has to be a specific reason..not just because you don't like it anymore..The only thing all contracts have in common is that they can be broken.
That statement is False and goes against Free Market Capitalism. Does every 18 y/o deserve this “living wage” as they work through college? How many businesses would no longer exist?I said if you can’t afford to pay a worker a living wage you can’t afford to do business in the US.
I'd say much more driven by advances in robotics than workers comp.Workers comp insurance etc will make line work manual labor obsolete within the next 20 years
That's probably the number one reason. Just think of all those poor, out of work lawyers if everybody upheld the contracts they signed... won't somebody think of the lawyers!?Yes sure..but there has to be a specific reason..not just because you don't like it anymore..
Great news. I had a blend date of 8/21 and it remains in production.apparently they decided to build mine, started 9/12 and finished yesterday. Going through final checks and being shipped.
It's a free market, you don't need a bronco to post, or boast. That statement is False and goes against Free Market Capitalism. Does every 18 y/o deserve this “living wage” as they work through college? How many businesses would no longer exist?
Regarding the issue of Contracts I thought this Strike was because the current contract had expired?? If that is the case Ford has no obligation to grant any ludicrous demands. My prediction is the UAW will draw this out far longer than needed and end up with less than the 20% raise Ford already offered. The 32 hour week (paid at 40) is a non-starter and has tilted favor away from the UAW.
@INFINITE23 you joined 6 days ago and have only talked on this thread. Do you have a Bronco and are you willing to post a picture of it?
Here’s one of mine:![]()
