It looks like Ukraine supplies a lot of neon and Palladium that is used in microchips. Being one of the worlds leading suppliers for both. This should not be good as we continue to wait on more micro chips.

I understand your point but refuse to talk about this tragedy in terms of microchips for our broncos. Letā€™s keep our hopes on this war ending soon and that free people prevail.

I agree with the importance of the Ukrainian peopleā€™s tragedy, but disagree that any discussion about global economic impacts (fuel prices, commodities shortages, etc.) is taboo.

Unfortunately this war will go as far as Russia cares to pursue it, and seeing the lack of action by the rest of the world China may very well go after Taiwan.

Talking about it in terms of wider economic global impacts probably wouldnā€™t garner much pushback, but writing it in the context of ā€œmy Bronco is going to take longer šŸ˜”ā€ is probably a bit much for quite a few people to accept lightly.

This war will be over by the end of next month with Russia taking all of Ukraine. Very sad times.

Sad it is. End of the month? They won't even have the capital in hand and that is <100 miles in. Ukraine is too big and you're now in someone else's home.

Ukraine is definitely too large for a second rate military to take while maintaining the fiction that they are first rate.

Putin's goal has seemingly always been to reunite all of what once was the USSR (CCCP) again into a single pseudo-communist behemoth. There is nothing to stop him from sending the tanks right into Poland or Romania, certainly not our 7,000 troops against 170,000 and are we willing to shed blood comparable to WWII in Europe again?

Poland is a part of NATO. That would stop him from rolling their tanks in there. Ukraine should have joined the EU when they had the chance. Appeasement never works

Russia has shown they are not capable of winning a serious conflict. They are embarrassing themselves.

China is even more dangerous
Depends on how you're assessing threat. With 1600 deployed nukes Russia is a major threat. If we're talking war with conventional weapons neither country has the discipline or experience to take on the US. This is one of the reasons China has focused so heavily on their long range strike capabilities.

Iā€™ve been in war. Combat zones are tragic and an awful place to be in and witness. My post simply stated, this will hold up microchipsā€”as pointed out in the article if it was read. As much of the entire Bronco nation says the word microchips daily. The effect on the entire global industries dependent on microchips will be impacted. Much as a discussion on oil prices rising if Iraq or Saudi Arabia was invaded. War is tragic. But virtue signaling is overboard in a car forum. Iā€™m hoping this isnā€™t Facebook, and I now have to change my Avatar to support a cause. Iā€™ll state a fact again, this is not good as we will be waiting on more microchips. Google this topic and you will find numerous discussing Ukraines top exports and the expectations going forward.
