Good luck on your deal. It really just comes down to the dealer. They were able to find my private offer, No problem. But the price protection, nothing…

Final word from the general manager was again, they can apply either the private offer OR the price protection, but not both.
Just a heads up IF you get the $2500 for dropping the 3 deadly sins and qualify for original Price Protection Ford has been combining both offers on One Certificate.
Your Dealer see's at first glance only the $2500 BUT......the Price Protection is included farther down in the body of the Certificate.
The lady who gave me my certificate number at the Ford Help Center confirmed this....it's there.

I will be watching this thread carefully as a Feb 2021 reservation holder; I qualify for all this stuff as I dropped LUX and SAS from my BL 2dr build. I have a 4/14 build date so probably some time to get my ducks in a row before I purchase.

I ordered from Chapman Ford or Horsham under Invoice; they deliver lots of Broncos so I expect they are well versed in the program details. If they are legit and honest then all should be ok.

However with that being said, I will be prepared with all my paperwork and think "lexicon" is also important. Just saying "price protection" isn't enough.

I think the easiest is the "Model Year Transition Private Offer" (program 38644) certificate. Depending on your reservation these are depicted in the table under column A/B. I'm a column A guy and Ford has confirmed the table A amount.

In January I did what I was told in order to ensure I got a 2023 and kept my place in by removing LUX and SAS from my 2 dr BL build. Ford confirmed my $2500 "Bronco Order Modification Private Offer Program" certificate (program 32002).

The certificate numbers are the same for both of above; but both should be applicable against the noted programs.

Both of these should be viewable to the dealer within "Smart Vincent" and can be found via the certificate inquiry screen. OBTW, I am COVP verified also.

The last piece -- and where I think a dealer can be slippery -- is the "Price Protection" which protects price increases w/in a MY. These are annotated in the table under column C/D. I qualify for both. This is paid to THE DEALER AUTOMATICALLY 30-45 days after the sale. The dealer will receive and adj invoice in "VISIONS" and the difference is paid on the future Dealer Statement. I think a legitimate dealer will just knock the off up-front -- but they may ask forgiveness and ask to send you a future check. I dunno... The big key here is this is ALL DEALER stuff -- no certificates -- AND it is AUTOMATIC -- the DEALER WILL receive that amount.

These are all common Ford programs and not specific to the Bronco -- no one should be acting stupid here on the dealer level.

Basically I plan on simply stating above -- if needed. My dealer has only said at this point let's wait until the Bronco is produced and they get the invoice.

Thanks to @FordVideoGuy for posting this stuff

Let me know if above is accurate.

My WT (LUX, Mod Bumper, MIC - 12/21 original order)is due to be produced 4/27. I asked my dealer today about all of this and he just said “everything we have done has just been a private offer”. Honestly it is a small dealer and they probably have not dealt much with it. He then said “we will get it all figured out when it comes in”. This scares the begeesus out of me to be honest as I just can’t seem to trust dealers lately. So, I will make sure I have all cert numbers and as much info as possible. Thank you for this explanation, as I think if I can say “The cert # is….and if you look in smart Vincent….and later in “VISIONS” you should see….” I think that could help. I can assure you I will be calling every week after I take deliver. I mean it is almost $7300 when it is all said and done. That is no small amount.

Chapman took it off up front 2 weeks ago for me. So yes, you get the Private Offer and the price increases. I only had the 2/10 increase to deal with but they in the end did honor it. Everyone was very easy to work with. Any issues or questions, shoot me a PM.

Awesome, thank you.

They have been very responsive for the past 2 years; they seem to be a good dealership.

My original "deal" was signed by the "owner/operator", so suspect all legit.

Did you buy local? or Ship? If ship, who did you use?

Who do you call to verify private offer certification and retail price protection?
Customer service or another department?

I did not ship. They are about 6 hours away which isn’t really local but not too bad. Made a little vaca out of it. Stopped in Hershey on the way there.

I could not get customer service to confirm anything regarding price protection. I spoke with 3 different representatives. They will read you the definition of price protection, but they will not tell you if you are eligible. They also can’t force your dealer to follow the rules.

ultimately it’s up to each dealer to acknowledge its existence.

You are correct about price protection. They don’t spell it out very well and do tell you it’s up to your dealer to honor it. But they will give your certificate number. They will tell you the number and the amount.

It’s such a crap-show. At the time when we had to reorder in October, none of this information was published. As a result, there was no way to paper it in a purchase agreement.

My dealer has made me scratch and claw for every penny from certificates and price protection. In the end, thanks to some very helpful and honest dealers on this site, I was able to get them to acknowledge the private offers. They are still denying me the mid-year retail price protection despite qualifying in every way. They plan on pocketing the $1500 as their unwritten “policy” is to charge the window sticker MSRP. This is despite a signed DORA and Purchase Order.

Does anyone know the best way to try and get the contact information of a Ford District/Zone Manager or anyone with potential leverage?

Alright... 2023MY time!

If any of this is wrong please let me know ASAP. I don't want to add to the confusion.

I want to stress that the information in this post is
only valid for those taking delivery on a 2023MY Bronco, and is NOT valid for 2022MY Broncos nor will it be valid for a 2024MY Bronco.

ARE YOU TAKING DELIVERY OF A 2022MY?
You're in the wrong place. Check out the 2022MY Price Protection Thread.

IMPORTANT MARCH 15TH, 2023 UPDATES

On March 15th, 2023, Ford announced a second round of price increases (thread), that, much like the February 10th, 2023 price increases, has dramatically increased the complexity of price protection for 2023MY units, especially combined with the $2500 order transition offer that was introduced in mid-January 2023.

Due to the mid-year price increases, there is now two forms of price protection:
  • Model Year Transition Private Offer - This price protection is delivered via private offer certificates in Smart VINCENT under Pgm #38644. It is design to protect price increases for those who have been bump from the 2021/2022 model years to the 2023 model year.
    • Your price protection amount is determined by what you had on order as as of September 9th, 2022.
    • You and/or your dealer may decide to apply this certificate to the final selling of the Bronco, or may wait to receive a check from Ford.
  • Retail Price Protection - This price protection is automatic across all retail-ordered Ford vehicles, and is designed to protect you from any mid-year (within the 2023 model year) price increases Ford implements.
    • Feb 10th, 2023
      • This protection is available to anyone who had an 2023MY order placed prior to February 10th, 2023.
      • The amount is based on what you had on order as of February 10th, 2023.
      • If you change (or already changed) your order after this date, you may lose this protection if your body code changes. More information on that below.
    • Mar 15th, 2023
      • This protection is available to anyone who had an 2023MY order placed prior to March 15th, 2023.
      • The amount is based on what you had on order as of March 15th, 2023.
      • If you change (or already changed) your order after this date, you may lose this protection if your body code changes. More information on that below.
    • If you qualify for one or both of these price protections your dealer should take the amounts off the final selling price of the vehicle. However, some dealers have opted to wait until they are reimbursed by Ford before providing this price protection. Either way, you will NOT receive a check from Ford for Retail Price Protection, it comes from your dealer.
WINDOW STICKER INVOICE DATE INFO

The window sticker invoice date is effectively the date the assembly plant receives the order for scheduling. It is usually the same date the window sticker is generated—roughly a week before your scheduled build date. This date determines the price level of the vehicle, and therefore your eligibility for retail price protection.

1678888932104.png

For example, say a window sticker for a particular vehicle is generated and has an invoice date of February 2nd, with a build date of February 13th. Because that vehicle was invoiced by the assembly plant prior to the February 10th price increases, it will still have the original 2023MY pricing even though it was built after February 10th. In this example, the customer is not eligible for retail price protection, because there is nothing to protect.

BODY CODE BREAKDOWN

Body code is is a 3-character code used in Ford's ordering system. If you modify your order and change your body code, you will likely lose your Retail Price Protection. (You will not, however, lose your Model Year Transition Private Offer.)

On most Ford vehicles, the body code is roughly equivalent to trim level. On the Bronco, it is more complicated, as there are multiple possible body codes for each trim level. In general, you may trigger a body code change by changing any of the following:
  • Trim level
  • Number of doors
  • 4x4 transfer case
  • Equipment package
The Bronco's Body Codes are listed below:
  • E5A - 2-door, part-time selectable 4x4 (multiple trims)
  • E5B - 4-door, part-time selectable 4x4 (multiple trims)
  • E5C - 2-door, advanced 4x4 (multiple trims)
  • E5D - 4-door, advanced 4x4 (multiple trims)
  • E5E - 4-door First Edition
  • E5F - 2-door First Edition
  • E5J - 4-door Raptor
  • E4C - 2-door Heritage
  • E4D - 4-door Heritage
  • E4E - 2-door Heritage Limited
  • E4G - 4-door Heritage Limited
Your current body code can be found at the top of your order summary sheet:

View attachment 466188

Again, if your body code changes, you will likely lose retail price protection.

Below are some examples of body code changes, which likely will cause you to lose Retail Price Protection. This is NOT a complete exhaustive list.
  • Removing the Sasquatch package from Base or Big Bend
  • Switching Wildtrak to Big Bend
  • Switching from Part-Time Selectable 4x4 to the Advanced 4x4 transfer case on Outer Banks
  • Switching from Big Bend to Heritage
  • Switching from 2-door to 4-door
And below are some examples of changes that do not change your body code. Again, this is not a complete list.
  • Switching from Wildtrak to Badlands
  • Removing the Sasquatch package from your Black Diamond order, but retaining the Advanced 4x4 option
  • Removing the Sasquatch package from your Badlands
  • Changing from the 2.3L engine to the 2.7L engine

If you would like more information on this... here are a few resources:
Hi RagnarKon, to what does the $500 in column D (2dr BL) correspond. Also, from where does the $150 for ordering a mod bumper originate. Thanks for updating this information for the March 2023 mid-year price increase. Hope my dealer and Ford will take care of me on this last ~$2,000 to $2,500 in price protection from my unchanged 2021 reservation.

Lawyer its fraud if you have a signed Dora! I signed at Fords request 1 week before I got my sticker at 44K. Sticker come out a week later at $46K! I asked dealer WTF? Price increased on base and delivery but not pumper, sas etc. Dealer said he would get back to me. Crickets.

My rig is in AZ so I should be picking it up this week but lots of grey areas to sort through on the pricing. Train is here and Ford Marketing said my certs are extended to July 5th. I have 2 for the same amount $2845 and have both numbers. Now I need to find out about a private offer on the latest increased sticker price.
