Does anyone have a good number to call to check price protection as well as private offer ? I have called customer service, customer relations, marketing, no luck no one knows they just keep transferring my calls to each dept.
The customer service line (800) 392-3673) should have your private offer if you are an original reservation holder from 2020. I am not familiar with anything else other than price protection but they don’t talk much about that. Understand they are being recorded so you have to tap dance around direct questions. Typically you can get the info you want by reading between the lines. Not sure if that helps you or not but it’s been my experience. 🍻

Wow thank you for the information about price protection . I was looking at the flow charts thinking this was directly from ford but it’s all up to your dealer so the flow charts are useless as an accurate measurement of what dealer will charge.

I'm a non-reservation order holder (ordered Jan. 2022), and my dealer couldn't locate my private offer before my Bronco was ready. They said that they've run into this issue with all of their non-reservation order holders, and that it's an issue with how these orders used to be placed. Not really sure of the specifics, but the dealer agreed to push the issue up the chain with Ford, and said that either them (dealer) or Ford would send me the check directly when they worked out the problem. I took delivery a couple weeks ago and still no check or confirmation that I've got a private offer certificate. According to my dealer, the delay is likely to a backlog given the recent and temporary re-opening of order banks, but I'm starting to wonder if they'll be able to get my offer applied. Any insight for me so I can point the dealer in the right direction?

Hi RagnarKon, to what does the $500 in column D (2dr BL) correspond. Also, from where does the $150 for ordering a mod bumper originate. Thanks for updating this information for the March 2023 mid-year price increase. Hope my dealer and Ford will take care of me on this last ~$2,000 to $2,500 in price protection from my unchanged 2021 reservation.
Column D and the $150 for the mod bumper is retail price protection that protects against the March price increases.

All mid-year price increases (increases within the model year) is handled with retail price protection. All price increases between different model years is handled with private offers.

So similar to others my dealer has said they can only “see” the Model Year Transition Private Offer, which in my case is column-B Outer Banks two-door, so $2350. I guess they haven't had anyone else bring this to their attention yet, disappointed that I've now got to find a way to prove up the rest of the price protection. Are their any documents or communications from Ford I can tell them to go look at? Assuming that some of these are communications just between Ford and the dealerships vs Ford and customers. Not asking for the documents, just a way to reference them so my dealer can go look them up.

@Ford Motor Company 2-year reservation holder here, opportunity for some simple assistance that could go a long way in helping myself and many others!

My turn in this fiasco of dealer only offering SmartVincent Private Offer and no knowledge of the Retail Price Protection Program @Ford Motor Company

I'm also a 2 year reservation holder with my bronco due to arrive in about 2 weeks I'm now working with Damerow to get my SmartVincent private offer and retail price protection all figured out

TL;DR Damerow as of now is only offering me my SmartVincent Private Offer $2,395 which does NOT include any price increase rebate for the Feb and March 2023 increases. They are going to do research into how they can get those rebates but I'm apparently the first one asking about it.

My window sticker is $66,030
My most recent DORA is $61,680
My SmartVincent rebate is $2395.

Doing research from other reputable dealers on the forum tells me my DORA minus my private offer is what I should pay ($59,285). The remaining $4,350 between window sticker and Private Offer comes from the two price increases in Feb and March of this year (2023.5 mid year increase and the package/options increase in March). This $4,350 is part of Retail Price Protection Program and is refunded by Ford directly to the dealer who then is suppose to pass the refund to me the customer. You can easily imagine how nervous I am now for the Retail Price Protection Program.

Damerow started the conversation with my price is window sticker $66,030 - $2,395 Private Offer = $63,635. Great, now I need to explain to them what they should already know, Retail Price Protection. To their credit my new sales guy said he would talk with main bronco sales rep and get to the bottom of it. I get a call back from the main bronco sales rep who again, to his credit said he is 100% open to hearing about Retail Price Protection and will do research to make sure I get it. When mentioning this forum and other dealers he didn't brush it off at all and wanted to know as much as he could. But the bad, he said while Ford has changed these rebate programs a ton, over the past 12 months it has been fairly simple for Bronco. Everything comes in the form of a SmartVincent private offer ($2,395 for me). It now sounds like ford has yet again changed the rules and rebates are offered in two completely different systems. To make matters worse the main bronco sales rep claimed they no longer have a Ford dealer rep (sounds weird to me). In either case they said they would do all they can to look into it on their end and requested I reach out to ford on my end which is where we've left it. My build week is the first build week that reflects the increased SAS, LUX, Hardtop, Mod bumper price increases that went live on Window stickers after 3/16/23 and I knew I'd be their first guniea pig. However there should be broncos before me but after the 2/16/23 mid-year 2023.5 price increases that I was hoping they would have already figured this out for. I'm willing to bet multiple people got screwed out of a $1700~ already.

Ford jacked up my MSRP 2K 7 days after I signed my Dora per there request. Released my new msrp on the window sticker so my dealer is stuttering about I signed an agreement at that price per fords request 7 days early? Ford didn't know the price was changing? Not my problem.

@Ford Motor Company After looking at this further I think all we need is the PGM # for "2023-MODEL PRICE PROTECTION INCENTIVE" to point our dealers to.

@KompressorV12

your post is similar to what I’m about to enter. Different build, similar timing on reservation and delivery. April 21-27th delivery eta at a Southern California dealer.

I sent the GM of internet sales (which is handling my sale) an inquiry to see if they will honor the Retail Price Protection. I haven’t gotten a response back, but I’m waiting patiently. He has confirmed the certificate Ford gives us for msrp increase.

i would save approximately 3k in price protection $$$ (MIC top, sas, modular bumper + early order entry/reservation per the chart on page 1, but I’ll have to walk away or eat it if they choose to do whatever they feel is necessary for profit.

Props to those dealers who are in the know and honor the DORA. Curious to see how this pans out.

There is no program or incentive for retail price protection and the dealers won’t see anything for it in Smart Vincent.

Retail price protection is standard on retail-ordered Ford vehicles and has been standard for as long as I can remember. There is documentation regarding it on the dealer portal, and the dealer should know it exists.

As long as the retail order was attached to your name… dealers charge the price on the DORA. Once it is confirmed the vehicle was sold to the original order holder, I’ll get updated in Visions, and they’ll get reimbursed on the next dealer payment statement.

I think what a lot of dealers may be getting confused by is the fact that they are expecting some special program specifically for the Bronco to cover mid-year price increases. Even @KompressorV12 ‘s salesperson said he would go talk to the Bronco specialist at the dealer. But retail price protection is NOT Bronco specific… it covers all retailed ordered Ford vehicles that are sold to the original order holder. If Ford implements mid-year price increases (which they have on most of their models), it’s protected back to the price on the DORA when that customer placed the order.

Appreciate the explanation. I just wish there was some document number for what’s in the dealer portal that I could point my dealer to as something definitive on this.

Hello all! Wondering if anyone has gone through the Price Protection while using A/Z Plan pricing. My Bronco is scheduled for production on Thursday and I'm trying to do some math on what price I would be paying. I tick the boxes in cols B/C/D but not sure how those and the MY Transition Private Offer stack up with A-plan. Just wondering if it would be cheaper to not use A-plan if that makes me ineligible for the price protection offers...

I have a question on the Mar 15th, 2023 price protection. As I understand, this check goes to the dealer and they can decide to keep the check or pass this on to the customer. If so, the Flowchart should be updated to reflect this scenario as well. @RagnarKon

This is precisely where the problem lies. All the dealer has to do is pretend they don’t know about price protection, and then proceed to collect all the reimbursements from Ford.

The customer is powerless in the situation, and Ford will do nothing enforce what the dealers are doing.

All you can do is hope you picked an honest dealer. I selected my dealer all the back in 2020 and never switched.

Kinda/sorta. The dealers get reimbursed the difference in invoice cost. They don't get the full amount back, and there is no check that they get in the mail from Ford that they pass on to you. The dealers just get the invoice cost adjusted and that is reflected in the dealer payment statement... and ultimately the finances for that one vehicle gets lumped in with every other new vehicle the dealer received from Ford.

But you are correct it is up to the dealer to pass on the retail price protection. I mentioned that in the first post:

If you qualify for one or both of these price protections your dealer should take the amounts off the final selling price of the vehicle. However, some dealers have opted to wait until they are reimbursed by Ford before providing this price protection. Either way, you will NOT receive a check from Ford for Retail Price Protection, it comes from your dealer.

Yeah... it sucks, but ultimately Ford cannot determine the final selling price of the vehicle. That has always been up to the dealer, and it will likely remain that way until the dealer contracts get re-written and/or state laws get changed.

All Ford can do is cover the MSRP cost increases. And obviously the "S" in MSRP is extremely important in this situation—"Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price".
