The SEMA Show. The biggest automotive aftermarket show on the planet. The place to show off your goods and represent the latest and greatest. I've attended the show for over 20 years now, displayed a Subaru BRZ back in 2013 and now, just displayed again with the Bronco for Orafol, (and our Gladiator for Bestop). What an honor and experience! It's not as easy as you would think, as the spots are crazy expensive, getting the vehicle there and back (if you're not local) and the preperation, cleaning, and mental exhaustion of SEMA week is like nothing else. However, it's still amazing to do, and I would do it again.
While my small business is not exhibiting at SEMA, I do proudly reperesent many businesses that are exhibititors, and that's where the Bronco fit in, representing Orafol with our exclusive Wimby White color we released with Fellers just a couple months back. A nostalgic color, specifically made to represent Ford's iconic Wimbledon White.
In addition to the wrap, which includes rear gate, door jambs, and roll bars, we took this rare opportunity to add a few items to help make the simple build stand out. We left the Eibach coilovers set at the low setting to keep the look more street than off-road, but yet also added stock-sized BFG KM3's on fifteen52 TurboMac HD's to show it very well can. The Bronco is also equipped with BroncBuster's steering trio of the brace, bushings and billet rack housing. A custom leather interior was accomplished with Katzkin Pearl leather with Hexstitch, including custom Pacific Blue stitching and door panels. Tackform Fast Track dash and grab handle mounts with carbon fiber arms and blue accent rings give plentiful mounting options. A Midland GMRS kit is mounted under dash with the Mountains 2 Metal bracket. moving upwards, Tieri Paracord Innovations color matched the grab handles for an added detail. Gearshade worked with us to make a custom mesh shade that matched the Wimby White color, and even has the blue stripes to continue the theme for the hood to rear gate. To show this off and let the sun in, is Bestop's Skyrider top. Baja Designs fog pocket lights, A-Pillar Squadron Pro's (on custom War-Horse Off-Road brackets) and a S1 hitch light provide additional light.
Keen eyes may notice this is a Badlands, ...then where's the orange accents? We swapped all of it out. Grab handles, vent clips, and door & seat bungees. No stone unturned.
Our Bronco is used primarily for our shop use in creating custom graphics and making them into easy to install kits for you. When we had the opportunity to create a special color, we obviously wrapped our Bronco in it, and well, one thing led to another as you can see. Our vision was the Shelby GT350 adorning the classic color, and then updated the blue stripes to a darker hue for the Bronco. A classic take on a modern Bronco from outside to inside and top to bottom. We hope you can appreciate our efforts, we enjoyed every step of it!
Anyway, wanted to share some pictures and give a shout-out to those who recognized me, tagged me and took the time to stop and chat for a bit. And, a huge thank you to all the collaborating businesses who helped me along the way there.
