Woof. This thread is giving me indigestion.

99 is only "normal" if you do not want your bronco to be built. The only reason to have a 99 is because you are deliberately delaying for MY22 or MY23 to get options that are not yet available in MY21 (Mansquatch, Mod Top, Green color, etc)

If someone wants their bronco as soon as possible, whenever your parts become available, it's imperative that the priority code be something other than 99.

There are many many different priority codes, but for the purpose of the Bronco, the only ones that matter are:

Anything 10-19, and 99.

10-19 all mean the same thing (in terms of the Bronco)... which is build this as soon as you can in the order at which people reserved. Because commodity constraints are such an issue, it is possible, even likely, that people with late reservations will receive their broncos before early reservations, depending on the spec.

You can only order a MY21 right now... whether or not they get to your order before the change to MY22 happens, that's another story altogether... but there is no way to order anything other than an MY21 because those are the only options that are available.

Priority 99 means that the order is just a place holder and Ford should ignore it when they are looking to see what Bronco's to be built. If your order is a 99 the assumption is that you don't want it built... and when you are ready to have it built, the code will be changed by the dealer to something 10-19 and only then will Ford consider it a real order to pick.

Ford will be able to produce over 10,000 Broncos a month, and there are over 100,000 Broncos ordered...

BUT

Because of commodity shortages, and because of the allocation formula, it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that someone could order JUST THE RIGHT Bronco from JUST THE RIGHT DEALER TOMORROW and get it in a month or so. (That Goldilocks order would be a Base or BB 4-door soft top with the 2.3 and manual.)

This is why Ford is so desperate for people to change their orders... they are so desperate that they are even forced to produce stock orders in MY21 to keep the line running because they don't have any customer orders they can build.

As long as you have a 99 it'll never get picked and you'll never receive an email (or a Bronco).

I wonder if he knows this... might explain why none of his customers have received an email... he's left them all 99.
@ZackDanger Your patience and time commitment to this board astounds me. You didn't provide any information that isn't readily available to anyone who spends even a modest amount of time on this site. You are to be commended for all of those you selflessly assist.

How is someone ordering right now getting a '21??? Current orders have the production sold out for two years.
Sorry, but that’s just not true. There are constraints on certain trims and options, but other than Squatch, he has a buildable order. Now, if everyone that has a reservation or an order decided they wanted a base or big bend with 4 doors, a soft top, a 2.3L and a MT 7 tranny and nothing else, then you might be closer to correct.

I agree 100%. I can’t remember what I had for lunch today but somehow Zack can pull links and quotes out of somewhere in less time than it took me to type this post!

So how many different priority codes are there? I just placed my order yesterday and got a priority code 19. Granted I purposely avoided the hard top so I can get mine sooner, but I'm curious to know if the priority code options are just 19 or 99, or are there more options than that?
my order was placed on 6/25/21 no reservation, down payment of $5500.00. i received a priority code on 10. my build sheet. i have heard nothing other than my order confirmation email.

Ok, so it was the wrong order sheet I was given yesterday. I spoke with the GM and he printed the correct one for my build. Sorry for the confusion, I’m done with the internet for today.

You give me hope for my Base even though its a 2dr with the dreaded MIC.

It’s starting to feel like a cruel social experiment to see how long you can gaslight people before they go totally insane and buy something from Stellantis

I appreciate it. Not to concerned at the moment, plus I want to see what the dealer says. I just need to get off the internet lol.
Unless you LIKE taking strong medications on a daily basis... (early two door BB here... in need of strong meds, me thinks)

Yup, an order yesterday. Good lord I hope I don't have to wait that long. Of course talking to the salesman at my dealer he was completely clueless and said that it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks from order to delivery. I assume he is used to putting in orders for Escapes, or something like that. On a positive note, this dealer had a bronco available for test drive, and that was what really sold it for me. I was hoping to have it within 6 months but now you've got me worried.

BTW, the printout I got from the dealer stated MY 2021. I don't believe that for a second, but that's what it says.
There are literally thousands of first day reservations, first day orders that have heard absolutely zero about their bronco build other than "keep waiting, stay positive" from Ford lol. If you seriously want one, stay very diligent searching the web and find a bronco that was a customer order that they didn't take possession of and buy it.

You'd be upset and surprised, people that ordered no constraint builds are getting build dates. One person did and they got a build date during the May scheduling
My build is a no constraint build except for the MIC. Base 2dr 2.3L manual, front bumper, roof racks, VB. Reservation 11/28; Order 3/19. I think its 50/50 whether I get a '21 or '22.

The MIC is literally THE constraint item lol. I mean if you got yours scheduled before my 2dr BD I'd be pretty bummed lol

The Bronco specialist at my dealer is saying that 19% of the total 2drs ordered will be built in '21. She also says that after the FEs get built they will schedule buildable units, meaning that Wildtrak, Lux and Sas are going to get skipped over.

I hope she's right, but that's not what we've seen yet from insiders. Basically if you've a 4dr soft top big bend it doesn't matter when you ordered, and that was the point of my first post.... Possibly a different story with 2drs

Maybe, maybe not, because they will still be able to build one in five of the 2 doors ordered, and although few might be built, some will most certainly be WildTrak, SAS, and LUX package 2 doors. It's going to be a very fluid situation and it's going to depend on what's available as orders are selected for production. May the odds be ever in your favor!
