The dealer should pay for the repair. I would not let off of this as it’s their responsibility to correct it. Send the safelite bill to them. Not trolling, not a pushover. This damage was found after PDI and believed to be caused at an attempted break in when on the lot, before i purchased. The dealer showed me emails of progress to get the window replaced before sale, but without luck. Since purchasing in CA and living in MT. its in my best interest to get it fixed the correct way, by me.
If done while in their possession, why are they not paying for it? Bailment? Not trolling, not a pushover. I was thinking of smoothing it out as well, that may be best option right now. the window seals just fine still. Ill attempt to smooth it out first and if i come across problems later, just replace it.Go to a glass shop and see if the can grind it for you...
You can even do it yourself with water and emery clothGo to a glass shop and see if the can grind it for you...
Noticed AUG3 and delivered on July 25 so 8 days. Not something i would need to check, so i thought. It is what it is. I just want others to look before signing papers for delivery. Im not mad being the guinea pig. Just more of a heads up to others. If it wasn't noted on the bill of lading if delivered during business hours or with 72 hours if dropped after bh, Ford/transporter will not cover. In most cases the dealer ends up eating this as "good will" or policy. How soon after delivery did you notice this?
Well i have to see if Safelite even can get the glass. The dealer should pay for the repair. I would not let off of this as it’s their responsibility to correct it. Send the safelite bill to them.
We’ll good luck. Sucks your selling dealer isn’t willing to cover this for you as it’s their responsibility.Well i have to see if Safelite even can get the glass.
How’s the hell does that make it past quality controll ford needs to do better bottom lineRight rear passenger door glass chip at delivery.
Another reason not to visit CA anymore. I think they are mad that i didnt have to pay sales tax since being a resident of MT lolWe’ll good luck. Sucks your selling dealer isn’t willing to cover this for you as it’s their responsibility.
M2DZ-7821410-A $372.23 None is stock at any of the depots. Not worth a PO'd customer. If not policy the whole thing at least split the cost.Noticed AUG3 and delivered on July 25 so 8 days.
