That sounds like lifters to me.
But like people are saying you won't know until you take it in.
My mustang 4.6L had the same noise...I thought it was lifters, and it turned out to be the belt cover had broken and was making the ticking noise.

Why are you asking us and not the dealer? Why does everyone try to diagnose something that is under FULL warranty? Fuck, I’ve had radios replaced under warranty because the lettering wore off of buttons, had tires replaced because it looked like lugs on the tires were chunking off, steering wheel replaced because the leather wore. Take this crap to the dealer.

That is not cam phasor rattle. Cam phasor rattle happens for 1-2 seconds on startup and then she drives fine.

Sounds like a big diesel.

Your sound is variable, based on RPM. Something else entirely.

Source: My engine was yanked out of the Bronco and all 4 cam phasors were replaced under warranty.

Because it’s Sunday and the dealer is closed? 🤷‍♂️ Don’t worry, I’ll be taking it in tomorrow.

This is 100% NOT a cam phaser noise. Not even remotely close. My guess is some type of lower end failure, possibly a broken piston skirt.
It does sound bad. Hey @flip what's wrong with this engine?

It's not long for this world? Not enough to say for sure but if nothing on the front is hitting, I sounds like it's inside. Need a mechanics stethoscope to find out where it's loudest. If a rod is suspected, we'd cancel cylinders by pulling boots to see which one made the knock go away.

Needs to go to the dealer.......now.

If your dealer is as busy and shorthanded as my dealer we won't know the answer for 2 weeks. Obviously not their fault. It's just the world we live in at the moment.

My wife's 2018 F150 had cam phasers issues and the noise the OP posted is NOT that. Cam phasers only made noise on a cold start up .. like the 1st 3-4 seconds. Once the engine is warm, you never hear any noise.

my 2018 f150 below.

Cam phasers, same as the f-150 issues. See if it goes away when it warms up, it almost sounds Iike it’s lower end. Ford really needs to step up their QC game.

It's Sunday and I'm looking for some help diagnosing this issue until I can call the dealer in the morning. This afternoon the engine started making a clicking noise when I was driving home after washing my car. I can't tell exactly where it's coming from - a belt, the engine, a valve or what - but it increases in volume and cadence when I push the throttle. When idling it's much less audible but still there. See the videos below, apologies for the poor angle on the first one but I was home alone and trying to record the sound as I pushed the gas pedal.

This is a replacement 2.7 engine, the original died in February. I have maybe 3,000 miles on this one since getting it back in March.

Any idea what this is, how serious, is it drivable?

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Having it towed to the dealer this morning. I backed it out of the garage and on to the street so that it’s in better position for the tow.

When I shut it down I swear I heard what sounded like a gurgling noise coming from the engine, like water glugging down a clogged drain.

What was the build date on your replacement engine?

I still don’t believe this will be failure #52. A completely failed cam phaser sounds exactly like this. How many spun bearings or cracked piston skirts has ford ever seen on 2.7? Not many. I’ve been proven wrong before and will be plenty more times. Best of luck to OP hopefully they don’t have to change the engine more frequently than the oil.
