If your LC doesn’t have VVT then that’s irrelevant as the engine stores oil in the VVT system that isn’t drained with a pan drop, doesn’t take much of the dark oil to make it all dark. Color has zero bearing on oil life or longevity.This is about 5k miles on the Land Cruiser since last August, running 252k total. I will change it soon. I think the UZs are known for being low stress engines, so not surprised. My Escape with 2.0L Ecoboost was black immediately after oil changes.
