Looks like my wife’s 23 OBX we got 4 weeks ago has started cracking. Taking it to the dealer Saturday so they can get pics and report it.

Ford just updated their bronco top GSB the other day. It now says that cracks like this ARE a warrantable issue. So you shouldn’t have any issues getting it covered.

Thats great info for those of us who got denied before, thank you.

Ive looked at least a dozen closely in person, and have yet to find one with at least the hairline cracks under the window. About half have cracks like the pic above, but at the lower corners.

No problem. Here’s a screen shot of the newest revision just in case they ever try and deny it again

Thanks for that. I'm taking delivery any day and half expect to have some cracks in the first couple of months. You would think Ford would be eager to cover these under warranty as they can charge the cost back to Webasto.

Looks like my 2022 hardtop just started cracking recently. It was built in September of 2022. In addition to the cracking I just notice the overall quality of the hardtop is pretty poor. Either that or I’m just being too picky haha.

Random question, but does anyone know if will Ford also cover the cost of replacement window tint if they warranty the hardtop and replace it?

No way they cover that. I expect to have to pay.

Most likely they will reuse your current windows.

You know what. You’re 100% correct. I’ve seen that they ship without glass and call in a glass company to swap them. Forgot about that. Hopefully the glass guy can do the swap without destroying the film.

The rear glass will be swapped like mentioned. However, Ford will cover the cost of the tint if a window needs to be replaced under warranty. It would be covered under related damage. If your dealership is decent at all, they would be able to get approval for it. They would just need to submit your original invoice/receipt to prior approval.

Ford just paid for my windshield tint after having the recall done and the windshield breaking. Luckily I didn’t have to rely on a dealer though, because I work at one and I got the approval 😂

You will be covered as long as you are under 36k miles, but at 36,001 miles, they will tell you to go F yourself, even if the vehicle isn't even a year old... As if mileage causes significant wear on the hardtop. Lifted mine up once and it cracked like a bitch, just over 36k, sorry - not covered, and not covered by the extended warranty either.

So if you notice ANY problems, raise hell before 36k miles or, prepare to suck it up.
