Looks like my wife’s 23 OBX we got 4 weeks ago has started cracking. Taking it to the dealer Saturday so they can get pics and report it.

Ford just updated their bronco top GSB the other day. It now says that cracks like this ARE a warrantable issue. So you shouldn’t have any issues getting it covered.Looks like my wife’s 23 OBX we got 4 weeks ago has started cracking. Taking it to the dealer Saturday so they can get pics and report it.

Thats great info for those of us who got denied before, thank you.Ford just updated their bronco top GSB the other day. It now says that cracks like this ARE a warrantable issue. So you shouldn’t have any issues getting it covered.
Ive looked at least a dozen closely in person, and have yet to find one with at least the hairline cracks under the window. About half have cracks like the pic above, but at the lower corners.Any theories here why some are cracking and some are not (not yet anyway)???
No problem. Here’s a screen shot of the newest revision just in case they ever try and deny it againThats great info for those of us who got denied before, thank you.
Thanks for that. I'm taking delivery any day and half expect to have some cracks in the first couple of months. You would think Ford would be eager to cover these under warranty as they can charge the cost back to Webasto. No problem. Nope. Those edges look like . Welcome to the club.Looks like my 2022 hardtop just started cracking recently. It was built in September of 2022. In addition to the cracking I just notice the overall quality of the hardtop is pretty poor. Either that or I’m just being too picky haha.
No way they cover that. I expect to have to pay.Random question, but does anyone know if will Ford also cover the cost of replacement window tint if they warranty the hardtop and replace it?
I figured... but I was hoping I was wrong haha. Well I guess I will be paying for ceramic tint.... again...No way they cover that. I expect to have to pay.
You know what. You’re 100% correct. I’ve seen that they ship without glass and call in a glass company to swap them. Forgot about that. Hopefully the glass guy can do the swap without destroying the film. Most likely they will reuse your current windows.
The rear glass will be swapped like mentioned. However, Ford will cover the cost of the tint if a window needs to be replaced under warranty. It would be covered under related damage. If your dealership is decent at all, they would be able to get approval for it. They would just need to submit your original invoice/receipt to prior approval.Random question, but does anyone know if will Ford also cover the cost of replacement window tint if they warranty the hardtop and replace it?
