OMG, people... ?‍♂ Please stop the INCESSANT whining! ?

Do you want to know the truth?!?

Ford Bronco Update from Ford: reservation timestamp determines production priority & FordPass points loyalty gift 1608160921431

Some of the hysterical comments that have been made in this thread demonstrate EXACTLY why manufacturers use a DEALER network as a distribution channel and choose to sell WHOLESALE rather than directly to RETAIL customers. Face it... the amount of hand-holding required by retail customers is MUCH higher than that required by wholesale customers.

So ask yourself the following questions:

a) Do you enjoy selecting incompatible options in the “B&P tool”?
b) Do you think about car parts as “commodities“ when you sleep?
c) Do you get excited when talking about “allocation formulas”?
d) Do you find the concept of “model year uncertainty“ exhilarating?

If the answer to any of these questions is “NO!”, THEN YOU ARE A ***RETAIL*** CUSTOMER WHO DOESN’T LIKE WATCHING THE SAUSAGE BEING MADE!

So make things easier on yourself. Cancel your reservation, visit a nearby dealer, pick out a nice vehicle, and drive it home. I guarantee you will quickly forget about all this Bronco-related stress!

So it's sounding like I should order from the largest dealer I can?

I wont be giving my dealer a deposit until Ford tells them I am getting a 2021. If I have to wait until 2022, I'll order a Bronco when they have their act together and wait the normal 6-8 weeks or maybe the Gen 3 V8 Raptor is released and I go that route.

If they wont take my order and I bear all the risk on an unknown delivery 'at some pint in the next year? FTS. It's not the BS $1000 deposit I know they will want as I have ordered from this dealer before, it's that no one has the slightest clue when you may possibly get your Bronco unless you have a First Edition.
My dealer here isn’t asking for more deposit. Shop around.

I for one am glad to see Ford finally told us some news, even if it's not what most of us want to hear.

The more hand wringing just means more dropped reservations. For those of us at the back of the line... y’all just keep it up. :p

Once you start taking out the folks who double reserved the overly impatient the conversion rate will be 25%.

@LEGEND, you guys keep up the good work up there. BTW, have you laid eyes on the new KUKA mag-lev conveyors yall installed up there in the body shop? I'd love to see one in action.
I don't work in manufacturing, but I know what mag-lev is and how it works. A meg-lev conveyor sounds wicked cool!

Here's a highlight video from KUKA.
As long as I've been working here, I'm still amazed by the whole process of what we do on the manufacturing side of things.
Enjoy!

That is so awesome, thanks for sharing! It’s pretty much what I imagined, great to see in video!

I put my reservation in on July 18th. Since that time I have received absolutely no communications from Ford, and only hear from my dealer when I reach out. Anybody else out there like me?
