Sorry to hear about this...that's pretty slimy behavior. A bad Google review is the best revenge you can get at the moment.

I don't have anything signed, but I trust my guys at Rye Ford. I scooped up a fully loaded Badlands Sport in October 21 that was abandoned by an order-holder and they didn't mark it up one penny. So I don't expect any shenanigans when my Bronco comes in. Of course, I could be wrong but its a well reviewed dealership and they've been straight with me so far.

Sorry to hear it went this way. Gotta keep your head when dealing with the dealer because push comes to shove, they know they'll sell it to the next guy in line. They probably have a few people on a waitlist for just such an occurrence. If you wanna walk then walk. But if you want it, then you are now in a seller's market and don't have a lot of options.

I mean it used to be that a deal was a deal. You wanna bet in a few months when its a buyers market theyll still expect you to pay the amount you promised on the note. Its just bad business long term.

They were sneaky. They tried to avoid the purchase agreement, but he got a signature anyways. So, they played dumb on the down payment as a backup plan.

If you are truly resigned to the fact that you aren't going to make any deal with that dealer, I would give them exactly what they are afraid of. I wish I could tell you that Ford cares, but they don't. At least, not until it makes them look bad as well. Ford honestly deserves the dealers they have, with the exception of a small percentage. That small percentage is too good for Ford, in all honesty. Keep that Granger reservation and make it everything that you want it to be. A good dealer makes up for a shit company.

I mean if you have a document signed by theM that states msrp + TTL you could lawyer up probably. That's pretty clear breach of contract to me.

Absolutely lawyer up. Have attorney give them a call immediately and make them know this could be painful for them. The bad publicity alone would harm them.

I just placed my order in January at my local dealer and have signed PO tax title and all and was told it would be MSRP but I don’t trust it one but till it actually comes in and I drive off. Maybe by the time mine actually gets built the hype and everything will die off and won’t have to worry.
