I've been wondering about 'care' products myself....with all the fancy chemistry involved in plastics today, I think we need a manufacturer's recommendation. Anyone seen one yet?
Likely something in the manual.... Ford products though.

It's plastic!
Ever heard of Armour All? Lol
If that's too main stream for you, there are lots of boutique products out there for plastic/vinyl/rubber/plastic
🤷🏼‍♂️
Oh JC... 🙄

I'll lather up my plastic bits how I desire.
Or as the kids say, you do you.

That line threw me off too, but if you "zoom out" by looking at the other pictures you'll notice the jag is the pocket for the roof rack.
It’s more jagged then the other side of the same pocket. Also the seam is not sealed like a few other MICs folks have showed on here. Makes me worry about water seeping inside, mold, expansion….all the fun stuff

Yeah, im already planning for the warranty fight and mine just got built this last week. May as well plan ahead. I'm gonna go over that top with a fine tooth comb when i pick it up just so i can point out everything that's wrong with it.

from the manual:

I don’t know about you, but reads to me as wax the painted body and use only soap and water on plastics.

Thanks for pulling the manual. Looks like nothing explicitly says, "do not wax plastics".

If it were my rig I’d definitely not tell the dealer or Ford I waxed the top. One or both will likely blame that on the honeycomb you’re seeing even if it’s not the reason.

Thanks....I recall seeing that as well. But I also recall thinking at the time it was boilerplate from Ford's files. Seems to me the MIC warrants some specific language

Ford will end up assuming controlling interest of Webasto, if not taking Webasto over as a subsidiarity of FoMoCo after all the loss of revenue and breach of contract damages.
If they can't produce why would Ford want to buy them?

Best to find someone who can do the job properly.

If the Megs is the issue, problem solved. That treatment prolly doesn't last more than coupl'a months anyway

I think 'the drummer' stopped just short of saying Ford pulled Webasto's MOD top contract & found a different supplier
