Ah,the joys and pitfalls of owning a brand new model vehicle!!
Kind of glad (but I still feel for you) I'm going to wait a year or 2 before making the splash!!
Maybe by then there will be new engine, interior, paint ,trim and roof choices!

I applied the wax almost exactly 24 hours ago. Didn't notice anything this morning. Went to get pick up the kid and get groceries. Were out maybe 3 hours total. I just noticed when we returned and unpacked.
How was the coating applied? Did you buff it or use an Multi directional oscillating tool?

I’m thinking about making my own roof with some left over plywood and 2x4’s
Judging by the price of plywood a few weeks ago .... you could just get two soft top Broncos.

Hand buffed with Meguiar brand microfiber towels and another pass over with Meguiar water magnet towels for good measure

At this point, I feel like Ford should have put off building the Bronco until they KNEW the tops were perfect. I was really upset with the 2023 email, but I would much rather wait. This is really bad for the brand, and I would be devastated if my Bronco had a top that started showing issues like that after paying sixty grand. Sorry about your top. I feel really bad for you!

"Maybe there should be a fixed roof option? "

Oh, that's right. This idea was beaten up a few months ago. Profusely. About the face and head. 🤏
As it should have been. Apparently not enough.
(LOL ;) )

Not sure what the deal is with these particular tops, but they have been making removable tops , made from composites for DECADES now AND THOSE TOPS ARE STILL IN SERVICE WITH NO ISSUES.

I'm thinking of full size Broncos, Blazers about 63 trillion Jeeps and almost as many truck caps.

So, it's not a "removable top issue" , it's obviously a manufacturing defect/engineering issue.

Be hilarious when that pattern shows through the paint and Ford denies the waranty claim because they have no idea what your painter did during prep was to their obviously high quality hard top. 😂

...and if that pattern shows through afterwards?
It very likely may. Painters have had issues with pin stripes that would not go away, The shadows would always re-appear.

Don't give Ford a reason to deny the claim.
Think they won't? Ask anybody that dealt with 6.0 or 6.4 Powerstroke Diesel issues.
Ford used ANYTHING they could to deny claims, including training the techs to look for mods that may have been done.

Well if I’m modifying something I would never expect Ford to do anything about it, nor ask them to.

If it shows through after multiple sanding, high build primer base and clear? Guess what it goes right back for more until it’s perfect. Real hard concept to understand eh?
