Awfully fast engine swap.In case anyone cares, this is the labor time Ford pays us to R&R an engine.
Warranty is usually 50% light, powertrain even more.Awfully fast engine swap.
They love to pinch their own pennies and people don’t realize it. Automakers won’t pay to really dig in and diagnose an issue. Then the customers is pissed off at the dealer. Its very rare I’ll go off on a service manager. I sure do love ripping into an aftersales zone rep though.Warranty is usually 50% light, powertrain even more.

Flip posted the “book time” to remove and reinstall an engine. I commented on how Ford is cheap asses and don’t want to give the time on what warranty work really takes. Not sure how you got that I want a tech to look at an engine.I am not sure I understand what you are saying. The damaged engine is going back to Ford so their engineers can inspect it. Do you want a tech at a dealership to investigate or a ford engineer?
I doubt that's goong to happen. There are lemon laws, but just the way it is. As a customer, unless you have some big influence, if you are not happy all you can do is sell it once it's fixed...but then you are going to be Bronco-less again.Honestly, you should ask for a replacement vehicle. The last thing you want is a brand new car that has had the engine replaced by the dealership. That’s asking for trouble and it’s not what I would consider resolution.
Glad to see it home and back on the road! She’s back! Thanks to everyone on B6G for the support!
