Updated Dates for 2021 Bronco Order Acceptance (Jan 19), Scheduling and Start of Production (May 3)

Dates for 2021 Bronco order acceptance, scheduling and start of production have been updated from the dates initially announced in November.

Here are the current expected dates (as of December 18) for the following:

• 1/19/2021 - Initial Order Acceptance
• 3/18/2021 - Scheduling Begins
• 5/3/2021 - Production Start Up

What is Orders Acceptance and Scheduling?

"Initial Orders Acceptance" is when Ford will allow dealers to begin placing orders, but vehicles won't necessarily be built in the order that orders are received from dealers. They get scheduled based on parts and option availability at the plant. An individual option, or even the paint color, can delay your place in line until that option, or paint, is expected to be on-hand. "Scheduling Begins" is when they will start laying in the order of all those previously received dealer orders.

That's some good news, but has Ford announced how many they will be able to produce during that production time? I have ordered a Ford vehicle before and it took about 90 days from the time I made the order to my delivery date, (6 weeks from the date it was actually assembled) which wasn't too bad. So I'm under the impression we will see them on the road around July!

I know that was mentioned somewhere else, but unsure if that has changed now.

Edit: I would assume all orders would need to be placed prior to Ford scheduling. But could be wrong.

March 19th 2021 is the last day to place an order as well as switch dealers. It’s on the ford site.

They've been saying last day to convert is 3-19-21.

Remember, last day to change dealers is 1/31, just incase your dealer plays games!!!

Called my local dealer this morning. He said Reserved Broncos will arrive Late Summer/Early Fall

Broncos on Lot for the general public to buy? Early to mid-Fall.

I will expect to take delivery sometime around Thanksgiving. Of course this is the same guy who didn't know the difference between Cactus Grey and Carb Grey, so who knows. Just wanted to share the latest from up here.

I also think delivery up here will be delayed by about 3 weeks due to distance, so folks down South may see theirs (reserved) by July

My understanding is NO dealer stock built before reservation holder's Broncos are built. Any body else Heard this?

So considering build 1 was originally scheduled for late March with delivery in early June , then with early May being build one we looking at late July, early August for first deliveries?

Once ordering starts, my guess is you can order everyday for as long as they make Broncos, so no currently known "last day." The two months between initial order acceptance and the beginning of scheduling just gives Ford enough orders to meet whatever threshold they have to start the scheduling process.

As has been previously mentioned, your build date is based on a magical combination of reservation date, order date, parts availability and who knows what else.
