We like that now. It's a Classic thing ;)
It HAS to be wavy so that it can bend with the flip up rear hatch. To go non-wavey, you change to a hatch back design like the Besttop. Similar to design choices on boat tops. I used to upgrade to a thicker Eisenglass, but gave up flexibility and paid more.

We had a 4 door Wrangler for 5 years and I had my Bestop on my 2Dr Bronco all last spring/summer. Number of times in those 6ish years I wished I could left the rear of the top to access the back of either - 0.

It’s functionality no one was asking for. In exchange you get wavey windows no one wants.
I lift mine almost daily. It's mazing how much easier it is to load stuff without having to remove the back window completely. My only complaint is that the lift struts should be factory and not an aftermarket accessory.

Just picked up my 23 yesterday…and my side windows aren’t wavy. I also checked because I saw in another post that for 23 the side windows have a new part number… and I have the updated ones… I’ll check back after my trip to Florida and back to Ohio next week to see if they stay unwavy

The amount of times I have looked at my windows and thought oh no the pieces of plastic don't look like glass are ZERO.
I used to notice the wavy windows, until I took mine down a few narrow trails and the branches scratched some sense into me (and my windows).

Go enjoy your stuff and worry less! It'll be fine :)

Wonder if they decided to use better glue for the interior panels this time around.
Was there a TSB for those ever? My dealer said mine was first they'd heard of it.

Hate a wavy window and the wavy top and I won’t stand for it. Give me hard top or give me death.

That’s not the fully updated top. Doesn’t have the new windows that lift just fine without the fugly waves 😉

I just transported a bunch of furniture in the back of mine and I sure used that kickstand to get it in. Normal life uses require the back window to move up.

Just noticed this 23 Outerbanks with an updated Soft Top.

Biggest difference is the sides of the top portion are doubled up with a seam and some insulation on the sides. Makes the top look tighter and might actually cut down some noise. Haven't driven it yet.

There is nobody, not a single soul, outside of whining Internet forum users who care that the windows have some wave to them, I have never heard a comment about it once. I *have* however heard lots of people (particularly jeepers) say how awesome it is that the soft top pops up at the cargo area, which is why the windows are wavy and well worth it

Speak for yourself. It's functionality I want and use almost daily.

It's really annoying to have to duck down under the back when it's not lifted. Plus it gives me extra clearance to put my dog crate in the back.

The wavy windows have never bothered me.
I’m with you, it was a great idea and great design, i pop it up all the time
