All these light kits run 15+ amps - and we dont have many switches to support that..

The lights I just got do come with a relay setup and a on/off switch that takes in 3 wires. I think one must be hot / ground / and signal back to relay?

How do you modify the hot upfitter wire into this setup to energize the relay to turn on the lights?

Middle wire of the switch and remove the outer hot wire?

Look up typical relay wiring diagrams, the new relay is probably only needing 2 wires to control it (pins 85 and 86) The 3rd to the switch is probably just for a light . Use the upfitter switch to control that new relay that would be wired to handle a larger current draw

That is my thinking, just am not sure on the 3 wire switch that came with the lights how do you redo that with an upfitter? Cut the switch off, then connect the hot wire from the upfitter to the middle or the outter hot wire on the switch?

for any/all those high amp accessories I had planned on using relays... didnt want a lot of amperage flowing through those switches... or whatever oem block is being used...

The fuse that came with it might be over
Kill. Divide wattage by Volts to get amperage.
