I’ve decided that I want to upgrade to a basequatch. And when I called my dealer today he didn’t want me to because I’m way high up on the list, and he’s afraid that upgrading would affect my place in line. Should I still upgrade or stick with my original order?

Quite the conundrum. If you need the added off-road capability of the Sasquatch then it would make fiscal sense to switch and if you have to wait longer, then so be it.

But, if you don't need the suspension and lockers from the sas and all you're wanting is the 35's, buy the base and pick whatever wheels/tires you want.

Depends if you want to wait a very long time or get it sooner and perhaps add your own lift, tires, etc. Also depends on the use- how much orr roading you are going to do- do you need the 35" tires and lockers- and also a drop in fuel economy. I know I am well into next year for my Basesquatch, given all of the delays and I am at the bottom of my dealer's list, despite a 7/14 reservation. If I knew I was getting it say 6 months or a year sooner I'd just go base but that's me. If I had to start over I'd probably get a base (mainly for the added fuel economy and the light off roading I would do, it would be more than capable.). But I am NOT going to the dealer to introduce any changes as I'll most likely be further out than I am now and be into 2023.

I think you should order and get what you want. This is a big purchase and unless you "need" something sooner you do not what to have regrets when it comes in. You know what that is and what timeline you can handle...your dealer does not. But, good on them for keeping you posted on what the change will do to the timeline. Best of luck!

The Sasquatch package is a deal, that you probably cannot beat with aftermarket parts. Unless of course you just want bigger tires without the other suspension upgrades. Then it makes sense to order the base and put on bigger wheels and tires.

Upgrading to Sasquatch does not affect your place in line your place in line is your place in line. I’d upgrade if it was me.I upgraded my black diamond to Sasquatch and it did not affect my place in line at my dealer which is number 1 problem is I have a 2 door so prob going to be a my22 but I’m fine with that with the current shot show going on

STAY BASE! I ordered the Base (soft-top) on my Dealer's recommendation of availability. I am also finding that no matter what other people order they are customizing the crap out of their Broncos (just look at all the threads in here). That means that there is a wealth of good, slightly used, inexpensive parts for you can draw from. For example, I've already purchased a set of OB tires and wheels for $750. I have also seen people upgrading steps and rails and other components. So, if you want to get your Bronco FAST and want to have some fun with customizations (you probably will customize anyway) then STAY BASE! Just my 2 cents.

At this point, order what you want. You’re going to wait regardless, might as well make it count.

fwiw, I changed from 2dr non sas bd to 2dr basesquatch (actually planning on Mansquatch once the changeover happens), but I ordered basesquatch, 2.7, mod bumper and bo bar, it wasjust over my 2.3/7mt bd. Once I can switch to Mansquatch it’s almost 2k less. I gave up a couple things to get a few more that were important to me. Only thing I’ll add after delivery is a hitch setup. Otherwise it’s a hell of a bargain.

You would be crazy not to Squatch it now…such a great deal.

No way I would give up Sasquatch...number one, the constraint isn't too bad and probably won't knock you out. Number two, getting both lockers and gearing for 35s is worth it alone. That is the biggest pain to get done in upgrading, and you can get it done from the factory. No brainer...get Sas.

Are you getting a manual or auto?
Do you offroad?

If you wanted a manual, the Squatch pkg is EXPENSIVE... AND ... you lose the manual, all for around $8k. :(

Far cheaper to add wheels and tires and maybe a spacer lift .... if you don't intend to wheel.

If you do intend to wheel, you can't beat the Squatch pkg . It simply can't be done cheaper and have the same capabilities.

Definitely upgrade to Sasquatch. It is like a completely different vehicle. Would recommend the 2.7 over 2.3.

Another thing to keep in mind is that so many people are experiencing the leaking roofs. Better off to wait for a good roof!

Also, my base Base is held in purgatory... so you may have to wait regardless.
Or you might be driving yours while I'm still waiting.
