Upper Door Bolt

Has anyone been able to find a replacement bolt or part number for the upper door hinge bolt? My rear passenger side door hinge bolt has backed itself out and now I don't have a bolt in there. i searched couldn't find anything.

Thanks for posting this, I had the exact same thing happen this week to the same bolt on my rear driver side door.

I got lucky and found mine it was stuck behind the connector

In hindsight, I heard it fall out inside the door and thought one of my kids' baseball bats in the back had rolled loose and hit something. When we stopped and they opened the door, it must have fallen out. When I got home and they opened the door again and I heard the clicking, I looked and realized the bolt had fallen out.

Seems like a pretty big design issue to have an upside-down bolt that can work its way loose. Luckily they were about $0.75 each at Lowes, so I bought $6 worth of both sizes that will hopefully last me a few years.

I lost the top bolt this weekend. Saw you post and ordered a replacement on Amazon, which arrived today. Fit perfectly. As I’ve seen several posts about lost bolts, I’m going to keep some in my toolkit. I’ve only seen posts about the top bolt, which makes sense since it’s the one that inserts from underneath. Retightened the rest of them, just in case.

Interesting. I'm not torquing to specs, simply tightening, but they shouldn't be loosening. Good to have a few spares in the pouch.

In case anyone else is looking, I went to lowes and HD and neither had them in stock for me to compare. I ordered from BMI Karts & Parts: 99301320 M8 x 1.25 x 16mm Hex Flange Bolt and they are way too skinny... any other ideas?

Why would anyone use a bolt other than OEM unless for a temp repair? They are only a couple bucks.
