When switching to 35 in tires is there any problem with using the original 32 stock tire for a spare.
I won't be doing any serious off roading.
Much better to use 5 tires and rotate them properly, exactly according to this symphony of rotation awesomeness:
1. Both rear tires move to the front on the same side.
2. The Drivers Front goes to Spare.
3. The Passengers Front goes to Drivers Rear.
4. Spare goes to Passengers Rear.

You will get 20% more tread and you will make sure that your spares work if you do this.

Depends. Plenty of dudes these days just call AAA when they get a flat.

That is the accepted method i just never liked changing rotation on tires and when you use all 5 you change direction.

Unless the tires are designed to only rotate one direction, changing rotation is usually recommended.

In an emergency, it can be done. Mechanical issues aside, electronics in modern vehicles will flip out. You're going to have ABS thinking one tire or another is slipping due to the spin differential at the tires.

Bottom line, don't be cheap. Buy 5 tires. You can either leave the spare but it's better to do a 5 wheel rotation.

Some habits die hard ,and some of my tire sets are direction specific.

There are thousands of cars on the road that use donut spares. I know for a front wheel drive, you must have same diameter. So if your front goes flat, you switch with a rear and put the donut in the back. Not sure about rear drive. Of course you don't use lockers, take the Bronco out of 4A, etc.

But I get where you are coming from... 1 extra tire can add $300 to the bill. So
You can also get yourself a patch kit assuming you have some sort of air source.

Try sitting on a 4 legged stool with three 35”& one 32” legs. Also, the ABS/traction control system will be going crazy wondering why one wheel is turning so much more than the other 3. ?

Key point is same diameter, 32” doesn’t equal 35”. You know what they say, inches matter.

Really? can you call yourself a DUDE if you call AAA when you get a flat and have a spare?
How hard is it to change a tire? Maybe your hands will get dirty. C'mon!

You could but it will look strange with the mini spare.
Not good for off road. Be sure to turn traction control off.
Keep your speed down if you do use it.

There is a reason the Sasquatch package and every other bronco comes with a spare that matches.

But I have seen it done. Take it right to the tire store.

I would say this is penny wise and pound foolish.

I dont care what people say. On 4wd suvs and trucks I refuse to run a smaller spare, whether that be 35s (truck, jeep), 33s (camper) or 32s on wife’s grand cherokee. They all have full-size spares.

I made a comment earlier that it would be OK. Reading several posts later about traction control freaking out made me reconsider. I like your suggestion to turn off TC.

Don't try to save a couple bucks. Chances are a tire dealer will give you $$ on a brand new, unused tire towards buying the right size. Why spend$40k plus and try and save $100???? CMON MAN. (Sorry Joe Biden quote)
