Back in the day…1979 Ford LTD 351 Windsor…I’d pour about a quart of kerosene through the crankcase after draining the oil. Let that flush through any gunk.

Follow intervals, change per manual. Don’t over analyze this and sleep good.

In this world with guys changing full synthetic oil every 3000 miles, I'm sure at least 1 guys does this, and he's probably got a lab analysis to prove it's necessary. And his engine is probably still running great (thus proving the importance) when he trades it in at the end of his 2 year lease.

I use expanding foam, wait an hour, add gasoline, then light a match. Leave no nook or cranny with old oil in it!

Dawn is specially formulated to help remove oily residue.
Nah, that's just for Jeeps because it was formulated for those oily ducks on the commercial.

Does any one drain their oil THEN pour fresh quart in to "flush out" anything that didn't drain.
Trying to thread the needle carefully: this extra quart idea is not known as a common thing around here. Maybe it comes from another subset of car culture, you have Jeeps and so maybe from there. If you are worried about flushing then they make oil flush products and you put a quart in to run pre oil change - especially used for harsh environments/driving conditions.

But if you are driving a new Bronco and do reasonable interval oil changes (with warm engine, long drip time) with decent oil that meets OEM spec, just do that and like @Ducati1098 says maybe drop the pan too. Dumping a quart of oil for nothing through these engines given their complicated galleries isn’t going to do anything worthwhile.

Pretty sure that post was sarcasm.
JC, that’s my point for the OP - let him drop the pan if obsessed over sludge, other guys here are, better than wasting a qt of oil.

But yeah I am not dropping the 2.7 plastic pan every time, and I don’t know who is.
