At first I thought it was just a funny coincidence, but now that I'm paying attention it seems to hold true...

It appears that if a forum member's username includes the word "bronco", they are statistically more likely to publicly announce their frustration with Ford, and to threaten or actually cancel their reservation.

Reminds me of the phrase "The flame that shines twice as bright, burns half as long."

I would love to compile some data on this..... but really I just wanted to share this to see if it was just me.

Is there something to this, or is it just a case of confirmation bias?

Just to be clear, based on my observations a particular username doesn't guarantee this will happen... or even that it is likely to happen.

Only that it's statistically more likely to happen when compared to other usernames.

Also, my username is comprised of partially my name and partially a stupid joke, and my profile picture is of myself doing something that I hope other people will think is cool... so I'm not trying to sit on some throne here.

;)

Does it still count if it’s a reference to a truck you used to have and not the new model?

I’ve gotten frustrated from time to time, but definitely never threatened (nor intended) to cancel haha

What's it mean when your username contains your actual name? Something something egomania?

Damn! That's 2 strikes against me!
Well, kinda. Nickname and it doesn't completely spell Bronco. ?
I'm not canceling and I usually only bitch about all the bitching. :censored:

I don't need to do any bitchin', others have that well in hand. I want to sit around with popcorn and watch the show. I am in it for the long haul. (y)

I follow you....but I think to be statistically more likely because a large number of users used bronco in their user name.

Edit: For some reason I used a mythical bird :) I guess I should have used phoenix since the bonco is being resurrected

Do you know what else everyone who canceled had in common?

They all buy fruitcakes and give them as Christmas gifts.
