USPS just announced they’re going with Oshkosh Defense for the NGDV.

They will be delivered with a mix of ICE and electric powertrains that can be upgraded over their life... and aside from all the extra safety features, they finally have AC!

The looks notwithstanding, I'm not sure why the USPS had to look further or design something different than the Transit/Sprinter/Ram van. Used by every other delivery company wouldn't these styles be tried and true?

I could use one of those for running around locally. We had a similar vehicle at work back in the late 70s early 80s. They were made by Cushman and we had enclosed like this one as well as P/U types.
