Vegas bugs

No idea what or if bugs are an issue out there on the trail this time of year. Florida I know. We have our mosquitoes and noseeums.

Are you going to the Off Roadeo in Vegas or just going for some adult fun? Either way, you probably won't really notice any insect pests. I don't live there but live in a similar climate and have traveled there quite a few times. I've never experienced any pests like the mosquitoes and noseeums as I have when I lived in or visited Florida. Instead, take the opportunity to look for tarantulas and scorpions!

Mormon Crickets? I have hit those north of Vegas a few times going to Elko, Eli and other holes in the ground. Its like the window goes black/yellow and don't hit the brakes.

Live in Las Vegas and went to the rodeo earlier this year - no bug problems but bring protection just in case and check the weather for clothing...I was glad I wore layers and brought a jacket. Most of the afternoon you're driving so not an issue. Really enjoyed it!

Walking out of work today I felt like Moses parting the Red Sea. Those things are EVERYWHERE. Literally making carpets of bugs on the sidewalk.

Lots of bugs here in FL. I carry a "bug bucket" with me in any vehicle I am driving- including with me every day on my 30 mile work commute. My Bug bucket is a medium sized pail with a separate container for water and soft cloths. The windshield and front end gets caked with bugs almost every day- more in the summer months. When I get to work, or a rest area if I am traveling I clean off the windshield and fromt end. The Bronco windshield gets full of bugs real fast being so near vertical.
