I grew up just North of Knoxville and never made it to Wind Rock. Planning on it soon.

Question: why do some remove the flares when wheeling? What is your reason?

Sometimes I wish I would have gotten a 2 dr…
Dang, yours looks good
I appreciate it, it was always going to be a two door here, when we bought the wifes JKU I thought what is the world coming to... I will say as far as convenience the 2nd row doors rock. That's all IMO though. But that being said I have the Atlas to haul things in....

I had planned on seeing more rutted leans than we did, the stock tires don't stick out causing a situation where you can rip off a fender flare...and or associated body damage... I'm going with a different wheel offset eventually and then i'll sell the stockies....

Ahh. So the main reason for removing the flares if preventing the damage from the tire? What do you feel is the breaking point with stock suspension? I am running 35x12.50 with a 1” spacer.

Not from the tire, but from the lean of the vehicle making the flare contact dirt... bad off camber leans you don't want flares wider than the tires.

I take them off on narrow trails so I don’t rip them out of the fender or get them jammed into the fender.

I have a 2023 OB, I will be getting GY Durtrac's on it this week. Let me know when in Feb or March I will try to make it. I will have to figure out how to take my flares off before then.

Thanks
Mike

sure thing I am only 40 min from the park. I know there is a lot of Knoxville Broncos, but there hasnt been a group build up yet, but I suspect there will be.

It's super easy look inside. 5 toggles, flip them and yank, lots of YouTube videos on it.

I would be interested in going. Flairs do not come off a Raptor like the rest of the Broncos. No tire poke either.
