In my life I have set off vehicle alarms twice, going back to the `70s. Since I have had this motor vehicle (22 Bronco Base stick) I set it off every coupla days. I open the door, hit the lock button, exit the motor vehicle, closwe the door & the alarm screams. The key fob is hanging from a biner on a belt-loop, it is not hitting nor rubbing anything. Am I being overly simplistic expecting to just lock the door with the button and exit the vehicle? This seems weird.

Black electrical tape over a 1/4inch of old credit card you can still push the panic but it fixes the hair trigger. Looks classy for a 55ktruck🫣

The panic button is overly sensitive. Some have pulled the remote apart and trimmed the tab that activates the panic button to make it harder to press. I will be doing this soon on mine.

Check the app to see what is triggering the alarm. There should be a log

I found the thread below on disabling the panic button and modified mine today. The panic button still works, but it takes a deliberate press to activate. The panic button has kind of a dead feel to it, but press harder and there is a click activating panic.
