Actually, I'm now thinking I want 2 of these to have a simple rear roof rack ;)
That would work and you’ll have no trouble getting your roof panels off 👍

That's what I'm thinking. Been wanting a rear rack for awhile but I don't love the current options. I do like the OEM style though. And by the way, I've been working outside all weekend and might have had a couple o' gin and tonics before that first post ;)

Personally I think the oem rack looks the best on the Bronco. Just watch the metal powder coated ones in a year or two.
I don’t blame you having a drink. It’s a long weekend for you guys. Me on the other had, I only drink before I get on a flight but I only have one. 😉

Hey I’m only the installer and the videographer. What you’re asking is waaaaay beyond my pay scale.

I believe that this rear cross bar is shorter than the rear one from the OEM rack.

If anything there’s a 1/2” difference.

So the Mabett roof rack extension only works on the rear most hardtop slots (4dr) and wont fit the front slots? I too wanted to just purchase two extensions for the rear hardtop

You can put the extension in either slot in the back and it will fit either one. There’s two adjustable slots on each side of the rail. (See photo)
Hope this helps.

Is it the same height as the OEM rack? I had thought the Mabett rack was shorter to the point the freedom panels couldn’t be removed.

The front portion of his rack might be lower in the front. I don’t know because I have the OEM rack on mine but the rear portion looks the same height as the oem. You be the judge.

NOTE; I just measured the rear crossbar (mabett) and the OEM bar and from the top of the bar to the mic roof top is 4” on both so they are the exact same height.
