With the BL missing out on sport mode and better engine than the 2022 “raptor” would you suggest waiting for the 2022, or would you get the BL now?

Is your purchase seriously hinging on the availability of one drive mode?

Yea, being in the Midwest, we don’t have a lot of options for crawling, etc...so speed is important

If "speed" is important you're already looking at the wrong vehicle.........

Not important but def a nice to have. Leaning towards waiting to get the larger engine, as it sounds like it will only be another year.

I mean I guess?? I just don't see the point of needing a lot of HP for "speed" as you put it in a vehicle like this. Now if we were talking a bigger engine for torque I could definitely see your point.

What engine is it missing out on? There’s only 2 to chose from, 2.3 or 2.7. And as far as the Goat Mode, the Badlands will get the Baja over the Sport which is the same setting other than Baja is 4wd vs the Sport 2wd. If you want the Sport mode just get a Black Diamond SAS’ed, then you get Sport.

I'd be willing to be there will be a tuner that will be able to swap Sport Mode in for an existing mode shortly after the first deliveries land. I mean, who really wants Eco? There's also rumor that Baja is/can be similar to Sport.

It seems the Warthog will not be a two door, so I guess if you are two door only, buy now.

It's kind of an important mode...one that's used all the time on other trucks in the Ford line-up....so I definitely see the point. No one buys the Bronco for speed, but that doesn't mean you don't want to max the capability of what it is on the road too, and if normal has the throttle reponse like some Ford vehicles and super early shifting, thats a problem.

I’m looking for 4 door, so the larger engine with more torque is making pause.

Also remember Warthog will likely be limited build and allocated without the advantage of reservations, getting one might be tough. We all know what that means, look at what Raptors have been bringing the last few months.

Is that tuner available on other Ford vehicles now, where you can go in and just swap a mode? Eco would be gone before I got it home in that case.

As far as the Baja=Sport thing, it doesn't seem to be the case on Raptor from all reports. The myth that they were the same seems to stem from a made up chart from someone guessing what the modes would be like, that is now passed around like it's a Ford document.

Small correction, Badlands and FE get Rock Crawl instead of Sport. BL, FE, and WT all have Baja.
