I know I've been seeing these on YouTube videos in jeeps, but I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on these to replace the pods in the back of our broncos. Unfortunately I don't have a friend with a boat with wakeboard tower speakers for me to listen to them so I have no idea if they would be a better option than the stock speakers in our broncos. Any thoughts on these?

Unfortunately, our cage is not round tubular, but I am considering this too.

I'd just upgrade the speakers themselves and do some sound deadening on the housings. That alone would be a noticeable improvement for sure.
6-1/2" is better than 4" speakers. Especially if you are adding an amp. However, from a staging standpoint, upgrading the fronts are way more important.

Here's my prediction.. Someone is gonna release a bigger housing for the rear speakers to accommodate a bigger one then imma do that. There is a company that's called American sound bar? They remake jeep sound bars with two additional speakers and tweeters. So I assume with time they would have something for the bronco.

I can have a mount fabricated that would attach where the stock pod does which would allow for the round clamps to be used.

I am just curious about sound quality from those things for the price.

I DO plan on upgrading the front speakers too.

I don't know on sound quality. I do know the regular (non-pod) marine speakers I bought from Crutchfield for my boat sound really good, and I would trust their advice in deciding between a 4" coax replacement, or swapping for a wakepod.

I don't think I've ever attempted dash speaker upgrades before. Dunno if you'd have to remove the windshield or the dash to get to them. Lol

I have mounted icon 8 by wetsounds in my last 2 first gen broncos. Bout to do it again in my current 75. I always go with swivel mounts to turn them as needed. They are amazing.

I Did a set and came up with a mount setup for them, It's in another thread here;

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/base-sound-system-upgrade-build.18480/page-46#post-1308877

If you aren't going to amp them though, just better 4" speakers and Polyfill in the stock housing are a huge improvement.
