I have 33s on my F150 with a leveling kit and to me it seems just right. So here are my options as I see it given that Vinyl Seating is a must have for me:

1. Badlands at $50,730.00

2. BD Squatch at $47,520 and then put on 33's after the tires wear out.

3. BD at $43,090 with the expectation that I would have to put arms, coil overs and 33's on - I actually think the stock rims are kind of cool.

Kind of torn. Any input would be greatly appreciated, even as to the advantage of just choosing badlands over the BD in either form.

I had not understood that the non-Squatch BD shown in #3 would require new upper and lower control arms and coil overs for the extra 1" of tire size?

(Or I think perhaps you are saying you would do this to get the suspension upgrades present in #1 and #2) I just wanted to clarify because I plan on sticking 33s on a BD, not not if it requires all of the extra suspension gear.

Thanks!

I am also curious on a an answer about what would be needed to add 33s to a non squatch BD. Obviously no one knows all of the details surrounding the tire fit yet, but do you expect that you could fit 33s without a suspension upgrade? Wasn't sure if the extra .7'' radius would need much.

#2 BD Squatch will not give you the extra suspension travel that comes with Badlands. I'm considering BD also, but leaning towards BL and the extra travel is one of the reasons. Badlands also comes with the Dana 210 front axel. I have seen nothing that says Sasquatch comes with the upgraded axel which I think one should have with 35s. BL standard on BD. This offsets final drive advantage of Sasquatch if you're going automatic. Lastly, I prefer the upgraded Badlands rim carbonized grey trim rings to the shinier Sqautch trim rigns.

Sasquatch pkg comes with Dana 210 front axel.

Question regarding daily driving stock BD and BL. BD with 32's and 4.46 rear vs BL with 33's and 4.7 rear. I ran the numbers on the rpm calculator, pretty close. Safe to say mileages should be about the same? Experts please weigh in.

I know that the 4.7 would be the way to go if you were planning on going up in tire size later or doing a lot of towing. There are other threads about the pros and cons of going 4.46 or 4.7 on the Badlands with 33s but they haven't left me with a definitive answer so I'm curious to know also.

Add me to the list of people trying to figure out whether to choose 4.46 or 4.7 for my Badlands with the stock 33-inch AT tires. I've had different people tell me different things.

Badlands comes stock with 33's and 4.7. So I assume Ford matched it up that way.

BD is stock with 32's and 4.46.

Badlands actually comes stock with 33's and 4.46. Currently, there is no charge to switch from 4.46 to 4.7. It defaults to 4.7 if you upgrade to the Sasquatch package. That's where my dilemma lies. Do I need to upgrade to 4.7 even if I remain on the 33's?

Edit: I stand corrected. I guess it defaults to 4.46 when you choose either the 2.7 engine or the 10-speed automatic.

Maybe a bug in B&P?? My stock Badlands (no added packages or options) build shows 4.7 included.

EDIT: I see why - I'm going with 2.3L Manual. This gives the 4.7.

Nah...you were right. I edited my last post. I've never seen it like that because I always choose the 2.7 engine with the 10-speed automatic. By the time I scroll down further, 4.46 is always selected. But, like I said earlier, you can switch it if you want.

Get the lowest ratio. I’m getting the 4.7 because the few hundred rpm difference isn’t going to heard in a vehicle like this. I don’t know if I’ll ever upgrade tires to a larger size but if I do I know that the effective final ratio of 35s will be 4.46 vs 4.11 if I keep it with the stock ratio.

Let me go ahead and ask a question that I'm not ashamed of admitting I don't know. Which one is the lowest ratio: 4.46 or 4.7? From what I've been reading, the higher the number, the lower the ratio. Is that right or do I have it backwards?

You are correct, lowest ratio is the higher number.
