I wanted an option to keep the seats in, even though we will rarely use them.

two huskies ride in the back, so I want it flat. I’m too lazy and not all that handy so I skipped using plywood and went with foam.

for ~50$ total invested I’m quite happy

Nice! I’ve been dreaming of something similar to fill the gap between the rear seats when folded down. Purely to help keep our dog safe. A section of foam easily jammed in & easily removed looks like it could work. At 11 years she’s still game for adventure but I worry that she may get her legs stuck in the gap when wheeling.

Question if I may, are the headrests on the rear seats removable?

I didn’t try hard, but couldn’t figure out how to get them off

2 door rear headrests are not designed to be removable. Says it in the manual and has been confirmed by some owners.

I believe it might be possible by opening up the seat back covers and removing some hardware inside.

That does look nice, especially fitting over the seats! Does it come out in two/ or several pieces?

To be honest, I’d likely buy the goose gear solution if I did this though. I just know my version would be a bit too scrappy ha

I’m in Burlingame if you wanted to make me an extra one I’d buy one from ya! haha

So do your huskies like it?

These guys loved it when I had a Honda Element and laid the seats flat.
Nice!! I just sold my Element for the upcoming 4d WT delivery:)

Hey, they are removable, not not the prefered way... Unzip the back seat cover and you can get to the head rest rods.

Now if only Ford would take something out of Honda's book and see how they did the rear seats in the Element and do that for the Bronco, I think every Bronco owner would be much happier.
