We just captured a new Bronco Warthog prototype, modified to undergo some rollover/stability testing. The tests necessitate removing the front and rear bumpers, and replacing them with metal plates on which safety outriggers can be mounted to keep the prototype upright during aggressive maneuvers.
With the bumpers removed, some elements of the Warthog's camouflage also gets removed, or loses anchor points, allowing it to flap around and potentially expose unforseen elements of the prototypes body. This is what happened on this prototype, as grille camouflage was removed, and fender camo lifted, allowing us to see some new elements of the Warthog’s design.
We can now see some elements of the grille treatment normally covered by the front-end disguise theme. We can also see newly flared sheetmetal, which takes the Bronco’s current clean/slab-sided forms and adds new pumped-up details in the metal itself. Beyond the flared body work, the width is further augmented by the usual plastic flares. Thanks to the camo slip, we can now get a better feel for the what is contributing to the aggressively wide stance that’s a trademark of all Bronco Warthog prototypes.
