2.3L Bronco with manual transmission goes reverse up Hummer Hill (37 degree incline) at Moab. Thanks to @Freewheelin_overland on Instagram, he’s been the main source of These Moab videos!

crazy how simple this looks for it. I can’t imagine taking my f150 through that little exercise at all.
To people who would know, is this common at this hill at Moab? To reverse up the hill only to crawl down?

For those of us that don't know anything about Rock crawling.. can someone share the significance of this, put into perspective how capable this makes the new Bronco? Thanks!
Sure, it means the car works on reverse and can still reverse on 37 degrees incline like seen on video. So if you get stuck and can't go forward in steep areas, then go back the same way you went in ?

This video proves that living in San Francisco is not a deterrent to ownership of the Bronc?

Yes it was.

So, those in the know about MOAB, is that a popular hill to try to backup? Notoriously difficult?

That is a pretty steep ascent & is rather impressive. You will never be able to climb complete vertical so as the grade gets steeper it is harder to get enough traction as the suspension unloads, to pull the vehicle up, you just end up spinning wheels regardless of being locked on all 4 corners. The reason he only goes part way up is because the trail flattens out & the obstacle has been overcome. Take note that this is a steady crawl and not a gas it bomb run (less momentum more traction needed).

Looks like you could do Lombard Street straight and not even bother with the curves. You may take out some perennials though.

As the first cousin of the new CEO of Ford used to say on SNL: "That was awesome!"

(Also thanks for steering that conversation a different way. Felt like Thanksgiving there for a minute. ?)
