There are only 3 generations, '65-'77, '78-'96, and '21 on.

Yeah, I said it, fight me.
65-77
78-79
80-96. (Chassis/body largely unchanged, a lot of suspension/body panels interchangeable.)

I can even get here a little bit. there's still not six generations
I don't disagree, but I also don't agree.

That logic would also mean 79-04 mustangs are also one generation. (At a minimum 2)

Nope, there's the Fox body, the refresh in '94, and the update to the squarer-body in 2000/2001

The suspension is largely all the same from. 79-04. I can bolt 04 cobra seats in a 79 fox. 99-04 cobra IRS into any fox chassis car from 79-04. I can physically bolt any 99-04 body panel onto a 94-98, and vice versa. (Plenty of proof out there, ugly as sin, but it exists.)

Watched the video. It was a quick-hitting review/impression of the different generations. They kept it under 30 minutes. If they drilled down too deep in the critique, they would lose the audience as it would have dragged out. Just found it odd that when it came to the 6th gen, they review a Raptor. Showing Ford's promotional clips of the 2-dr Cyber Orange Badlands bombing across the desert and pointing out the obvious that the Raptor had 4 doors, seemed to miss the mark of reviewing/comparing the different generations. They easily could have reviewed a 2-dr Badlands like what was featured in the launch video to make a more earnest comparison.

If the gen 6 turns out to be long term reliable it will easily be the best gen yet. Gen 1 has been bumped to 2nd place.

That was my thoughts exactly, why did they choose a Raptor. If you are trying to compare apples more to apples than a 2dr would have been the better choice, it wouldn't have been as alien. Plus you had some pretty pristine examples for the 1st and 2nd gen and then they got a little ratier so that could have influenced them as well. I wonder if they would had felt different if the 1st gen had a 170 cubic-inch Six? There is no doubt in my mind the 1st gen is the best looking and is "THE BRONCO" but when it comes to everyday driving and livability I'm taking number 6 every time. That being said I'd still love to own a 1st gen. Other than the name and a homage to the original they are totally different vehicles from different centuries.

Let's face it in today's world no one would drive an unmodified pre 73 Bronco. No ps,ac, 3 onthe tree, loud, rattly. And really only 76 and 77 with actual brakes would be usable. Floaty steering was common to all, but worst in first gen. The current is the most drivable by a factor of at least two. More powerful and economical than any before. So leaving out my fave Bronco IIs, gen 6 hands down

Meh. It’s a review of broncos and one dude doesn’t like them at all.

the raptor isn’t a good comparison.

10 point scale, no definition of how them points are decided, and nothing scored under a 7 I think.

poorly thought out video.
