I was so thrilled to see this post, and then @Cat posted pics and flipped 100%. Why is this so difficult?

I was hoping the WT mud flaps might be an option, but based upon the pictures posted that's a hard NO for me. Not really sure what is going on and why anyone would approve that for production. It's not April Fools Day is it!?

Your look great!

Frankly, this looks better than the WT solution:

Thanks. I am going to stick with mine after seeing the weather tech photos. Just got my cancellation confirmation.

They are starting to grow on me. They look kind of 'sporty' to me. As long as they deflect rocks away from the body they are GTG. Beats the hell out of $500 tractor trailer flaps.

I'm calling them now to cancel my order. Those are horrific and so disappointing. I've been nothing but happy with all of my WeatherTech products. As a result, I fully expected a mud flap that complimented/integrated into the design of the vehicle. The photos shared, after my purchase, certainly don't do that. These are a hard pass for me.

Your taste is bad and you should feel bad.

I sent a follow-note to Weathertech...

Mentioned the gap does not look good, and will still allow debris through.

Asked for them to consider a small redesign to blend in better with Fender Flare and eliminate gap.

Also asked for pics with Tube Steps, and for front and rear staight-on pics.
And here is their reply:

"Hi Cat,

I have reached out to see if we have any photos of the MudFlaps installed with the Tube Steps. Unfortunately, it does not appear that we currently have any photos. However, the fit would be the same for both the Tube Steps and RockRails.
Our Product Development team designs the products to function properly while the OEM specifications of the vehicle are able to fully function. Therefore, we would be unable to modify the gap between the MudFlap and fender flare as the gap would be required to allow for the wheels to function properly.
I apologize for inconvenience!
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. We’d be happy to help.
Best Regards,"

EDIT: Keep reading...there is one more response from their Engineering Dept about the design, with pictures.

Mudflaps won't make or break the look of your car. Not $500 AND functional? I'm in

The complaints about everything is what's astounding
Yep! They’ll work for me too as long as they serve their purpose. Plus for the price I can have 7 pairs get ripped off by rocks and still have change left over compared to the Gatorbacks.
