Quickly realized the door spray was going to be an issue so we ordered the weather tech mud flaps. No drill is a stretch for the rears. Fronts were simple to install. Rears require four screws to pierce the plastic bumper cap behind the mud flap and a speed nut to be placed on the threads on the back side. Maybe on a lift this would be a one person install but on the ground it took my wife to hold the speed nuts as I could not get my hand inside the bumper access point. I used a right angle adapter for my impact driver which made the process quick and easy getting through the plastic with the wheel on.

Definitely not as sporty as the og raptor look. But overall function will hopefully overcome any loss of coolness.

I haven't really found spray to be that bad as it seems like the side steps catch a lot of the crap kicked up otherwise.

Those don't look half bad, but I feel like for any of us who do significant offroad trails, those would almost certainly be ripped off pretty quickly (especially the rears which I feel like could easily snag dropping ledges).

Not a bad design for a pavement princess though :).

The spray is immediate and awful. Even from a wet dirt road at 20-25 mph. Totally covered the doors and rear fender flares.
Definitely would be an issue with a sharp edge dropoff. This one won’t be a pavement princess by any stretch but it won’t be a full blown rock crawler either.
That’s the beauty of ownership and doing with them what you like.

I put the Weathertechs on the front only although I did buy the whole set of 4. Without them the spray would completely plaster the front and rear doors. With them the spray misses the doors but still plasters the rear fenders. Overall they look nice and are a big improvement.

I installed the WT mudflaps on the front only on my Raptor and they have held up surprisingly well after multiple off road adventures. Agreed, the rears would likely be toast coming off the first shelf. YMMV

I installed only the fronts as I can’t stand how the rears look and they would absolutely get destroyed on a trail.

At least the cat approves.

I've had Weathertec's on my Bronco for almost 2 years now. The fronts started to rub out of the blue about 6 months ago - not sure if it was just my tires wearing and now starting to catch, or if the flap moved, or what.

Entirely agree about the "no drill" thing. I guess it's technically true...

I do catch them on rocks. I've broken/lost half a dozen of those clips by now - but no damage to the flaps or the fender wells. They do look like someone took a cheese grater to the bottom edge of them.

The don't come fully clean any more - kind of stained. Have the same issue with the floor mats, can't ever get them entirely back to black.

I ended up replacing the fronts with Broflaps just recently because of the rub, but left the rears on for now.

I do like how the WTs extend outward a bit to help with the splash, but my Mickey Thompsons love to throw stuff up and over, so it only does so much good.

She doesn’t approve of much. Lol. Awfully bossy for a rescue.
Great intel on the user experience. Thanks for sharing. Adams polishes makes a floor mat cleaner that works amazingly well on the weathertech floor mats. It likely would work on the mud flaps as well? Just a thought.

I bought for function. Did no-drill rears myself but took longer. Fasteners rust a bit. No issues in a year. Best thing out there IMO.

I’m surprised at how good they look. Almost Dakar style. I’ll probably go with the fronts but a designer buddy of mine and I are working on a Dakar dragger style flap. Low and loose with a clip to pop them up on rocky trails like the racers.

I bought my WildTrak in January. The running boards help a little, but the first snow driving over a recently salted road, I could hear the rock salt peppering the bottom and when I got out there was rock salt all along the running boards.

Installed WeatherTechs front and rear and they helped a lot, both with rocks peppering the rocker panels and with spray.

Also ended up getting full PPF.

I did the fronts only as well, vast difference in spray on the doors vs. no flaps.
