So if everything is fords fault as some people say, then webasto is at fault for hiring a shitty contractor. Same idea right?
Absolutely. Companies are responsible for who they hire (contractors). Contractors are responsible for who they hire (subs) and so on. The ultimate responsibility for the project is the person/company who started the project (Ferd).

So now my Bronco is delayed a full year because of a tree permit issue? Nope. Ford executives are responsible. They should have sourced several vendors. They should have had better oversight over their supply chain too. I've heard every excuse under the sun and they are all inexcusable. And while I am ranting......that email that said they can't solve these problems overnight is total BS. It's not "overnight". They knew what their demand was 10.5 months ago. That's about 322 "nights". They had plenty of time to get their act together.

Someone has confirmed you won't get your Bronco until next summer? Because that would be a full year from launch...

When Webasto began development of their new top factory ..the developer which Webasto leased from failed to get proper permits and clear cut 2000 trees without permission which put an immediate halt to the project..ultimately causing months of delays, which then pushed it into Covid and further delays.

Who cares ! Just one more reason Ford should have realized how screwed up they are and dumped their contract long ago and gone to market with another manufacturer.

So... your position is that Ford was completely unaware, due to incompetence, that their sole roof manufacturer was behind schedule on building a factory needed for production when they set the original dates for launch (that they postponed at the last minute), then they continued to be unaware of the factory problems while they did a launch, delayed the production start date, came up with a B&P (delayed), delayed the ordering window, let people order, then made a deal to get folks out of the Mod tops, then cancelled the Mod tops (again, all while being blissfully unaware that the roof factory was FUBAR'd), took orders, let people put down deposits, then let Priority orders and VIP's order, then... it goes on for a while.

Yes, that seems way more likely than Ford trying to hide problems at the expense of the reservation holders. Thanks for bringing facts and clarity to the unwashed masses who feel they have been lied to and cheated of their time.
Your sarcasm is epic! 😝

Talk about 6 degrees. Webasto is a leasee, looks like the developer and their subs were the culprits.
