Is that trail on public lands?
Yes. This is Richloam WMA. If you want some more info send me a PM!

Is that a glitch in the Matrix? 🤔
No but a necessity for a family (with small children) day trip! The 5yo ALWAYS waits till its an emergency hah. Also trying to potty train the 2.5yo.
I'm a dedicated 2-door vehicle kind of guy, but got to admit that extra space in back of the 4-door is nice.
Agreed. I love my 2 doors. However we do need the extra space so there were no second thoughts. In fact, it has still been a bit tough. We "dowsized" from a VW Atlas that had TONS of space.
Packing for our first camping trip with this one was like playing a game or Tetris. But it worked!

I am a past resident of Lake County, now residing in DFW-TX, and really miss the Ocala National Forest. Only had 1 trip to the Richloam/Green Swamp with my TJ back in the day but remember it being similar to Ocala. There are places to ride here but seems everything is private parks, averaging 25 ish miles of riding with various terrain. I am thinking I took the ONF for granted with it being 25 minutes from the house and being able to throw a cooler in the jeep and head for some sugar sand trails. Enjoy what you have and keep them young ladies loving what you love!

ONF is definitely on the list. Haven't been in years!
Having kids has made me get back into things I used to enjoy, before life got in the way!
Richloam was neat. So much to explore! I could probably spend a whole weekend there.
A couple trails got a little tight, and as I already said, very dry - contrary to how it usually is.
But it made for a nice low risk day. I wont go nuts when the fam is tagging along.

If you make your way up north to the Apalachicola National Forest, lemme know. I'm sure we Tallahassee folk would welcome you with open tailgates (or something clever).

I would recommend south of HWY 40 to start...plenty to see, quite a few lakes and quiet spots to stop and cool off.

Hah appreciate it! I haven't been back to Tally in almost 10 years.
I'm sure a lot has changed. I lived there from Jan 09 to Jun 2011.

Lol good eye. I've always been more of an on-road car guy. But have always had an interest in the off-road aspect.
The Bronco has helped me realize that dream!

Heck yeah. You’re doing it right! I’ve got 3 girls under 8 and the wife and I are wanting to start camping with them. We’re going without kids to North Toledo Bend State Park here in 10 days to do a trial run before bringing them next time. Looking forward to adventures with the kiddos!

Awesome! Love to hear it. I grew up camping and whatnot but like I said, sort of got out of it.
My wife was (and still is) not much of a camper. Our first trip was a "glamping" trip at a local state park.
It was a great way to get their feet wet without just throwing everyone in a tent and calling it a day.
We all had our good days and bad days. But overall the trip was a success.
