Currently drive a 2018 BMW 330i that I leased in Feb 2019 and every since then I have been looking for my next car/suv/whatever and since my lease is up in Feb 2022, I figured I had plenty of time to look. This will be my first real truck and second Ford (1992 Escort GT, 2dr hatch). I know this will be nothing like driving a German car or even a car in general, but I think I'm ready for that. The closest thing to off road my Bronco will get is the gravel part of the CrossFit gym's parking lot that I go to.

Very long story short, I reserved a Bronco on Mar 14, local dealer contacted me Mar 15 and order went through/received order confirmation from Ford on Mar 16. I thought I would be last in line (which may still be true), but dealer said perhaps not given that my build is relatively easy:

Outer Banks, 2.3, Iconic Silver/Roast Cloth, High Pkg. I think it's kinda cool that I live (Virginia Beach) maybe an hour away from the actual Outer Banks.

They seem to think December may be reasonable (before any chip shortage impacts), but who really knows...we'll find out hopefully in May. Anyway, this will be a fun adventure..

With a March 14th time stamp, I can't imagine any scenario where you would get a MY21 Bronco. Plan on next spring/summer (2022) for delivery if you want a realistic time frame.

You actually do have one of the "deadly sins". The OBX comes standard with the MID. MID is one of those "sins". Those are only theoretical though. Either way, congrats on the new form of transportation.

No, and I didn't ask. Forgot to mention that on Mar 17 I got an email from the dealer about a preview Bronco event on Apr 1 (hope it's not a joke) which I very quickly registered for. I can find out more about their allocation and where I am then.

Nice. Sounds like my dealer wont be having any events and likely wont have a demo until May. If you are somehow within their allocation it's possible for this year I would think. Either way congrats and enjoy the wait with the rest of us.

I'm thinking it's December of 2022
That's fine...the further out in production, hopefully the better quality control could/should be. ;)

No. The possible extended wait time options aka Deadly Six or Deadly Sins are:

2.7L
Sasquatch
2 Door
Lux Package
Leather
Wildtrak

Modular top is known as late availability.

Again I think it comes down to dealer allocation which isn't official at this time. Dealers were given initial allocation estimates but those can obviously change. If you are somehow within the dealers final allocation with a Feb 15 reservation that would be impressive given most dealers had many more reservations than initial allocation. Best of luck but I wouldnt get too excited unless the dealer shared those allocation numbers with you and you are decently inside the cutoff.

It's weird that Wildtrak and 2 door are "deadly", when the numbers from B6G are 13.7% and 37.7% respectively...

pretty sure they are going by survey numbers and they are making less 2DRs then 4DRs right from the get go.
