Anyone else out on the west coast thinking about fly and buy with Granger? It’s 1900 miles from me so not real competitive with my local dealer x plan price but the road trip back might be fun. Maybe a national park tour back over a couple weeks.

Yes, I'm absolutely planning to fly over and drive home. Most likely, I will make it a fast trip.

My plan is to fly out from the Bay Area with my 5yo and make a fun road trip back. Stop and see the in-laws in Nebraska as well.

Are you trying to organize a private jet rideshare with a convoy back? :D
Sarcasm aside... split enough ways, this actually could be done, right? ?

I fly Alaska air a lot but it looks like a trip with two layovers including Chicago which has given me no end of flight delays in the past.

Highly recommend it! If I have enough money to buy it next year and enough time off, I am hoping to fly with a little camping gear and take the scenic route back to SF Bay area. also via Natl Parks. Drove FL to CA last March, and even in a rushed 4 days, loved it. Parked after dark one night at a pull-off for a big Arch in Utah and woke to a fabulous postcard view. It truly is America the Beautiful. With a northern route to Oregon - which parks are you planning? I am thinking Yellowstone/Tetons, Rushmore. For me, those detours would only change trip from 1800 - 2000 miles. Enjoy the journey!

I was thinking about Tetons and Yellowstone as well. Would like to see the Grand Canyon too but hitting all three would be kind of a roundabout trip.

The problem would be that our Broncos are most likely not all arriving on the same day...or even in the same month.
Ah, yes. Thank you for bringing me back to reality (and common sense).

If folks wanted, @grangerford said they would work with us on scheduling. So it could be feasible for a couple of us to time our pick ups at the same time.

Unless you can find a Private (I use JSX to move about the West), I'll probably use my points / miles to fly out for free.
JSX is awesome!

Im thinking about flying back east for my pickup as well.

Shit, 1900 miles? I'm looking at 1100 back to DC. Wife drove from CT to San Fran a couple times and loved it.

So many different ways to go, you can see something new and awesome every time -- if you just have the time for it. I've done the Seattle-to-New England trip several times and try to find new diversions each time. Somehow I even managed to return via the Gulf Coast one time :p
