I've never had a truck with this feature...How long will it sit there with the engine off? Does the AC stop working after a time?

They'll surely have one of these for the Bronco. My wife’s Audi SQ5 came with auto start stop. Pretty jerky, especially in sport mode. Luckily, I found Carista had an app that could disable it. Well worth the small fee to do it.
I think FORScan has options to do it on some Fords and if not yet, they are probably working on getting it added to future updates.
The electronics are supposed to be smart enough, but the start/stop car I rented in Germany, would on occasion get warm inside, when stopped at a light. You could feel the air con loose it's cool until the engine kicked back on.I've never had a truck with this feature...How long will it sit there with the engine off? I've found that having the A/C set to the coldest setting will prevent the engine from turning off. When the engine does turn off, lifting your foot slightly from the brake will restart it.The electronics are supposed to be smart enough, but the start/stop car I rented in Germany, would on occasion get warm inside, when stopped at a light. I have an 2018 S4. If the car is in S mode the auto start stop shouldn't work. It only should work in D. Also I have a button on the dash (so should you) that just disables it. I hope you didn't pay to disable it. You just hit this A OFF button. My wife’s Audi SQ5 came with auto start stop. Pretty jerky, especially in sport mode. My son is twelve and is 5'5" and growing fast. I'm not cramming him in a tight backseat because I remember how it was for me as a kid. When I was a kid, my mom once fit 17 kids into a single-cab Datsun pickup, and only 2 of them were in the bed. It was more common that she'd have to cram 5-8 in the cab with her, though. Tell your kids to suck it up.
Well, it’s more complicated than I explained. Yes, there is a button to turn it off but it isn’t persistent. Every time you start the vehicle you would have to hit the button.
