I posted this in a measurements thread but is relevant here as well. This is from a BL. I spotted this little guy behind the bumper and directly below the tow hook - frame mount. One would think it is a pigtail for the fog lights. It may be possible to switch out the BL light switch for one that contains the fog light switch instead of having to burn one of the overhead auxiliary switches to control fog lights. Hopefully this is the case and the fog lights are already prewired.
This is great info, thank you, and I'll be looking into this further in 2023 or whenever my 2021 order gets delivered.

Lets keep the ideas coming, what are everyones plans or thoughts on what they would like to change or upgrade first.

I know your thoughts may change after owning for some time, but as of now.
Soon after purchase:
  • Fog lights
  • Aftermarket heated seats (Ford has deemed me not worthy of a mid package on a BD manual.)
  • KC LED Daylighters with smiley face covers at the A Pillars (I grew up in the '70's and 80's when they were cool.)
  • A set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires for the winter (and I'll likely go to 33's for the summer when the original tires wear out)
  • Upgraded speakers and maybe an amp and subwoofer

If needed:
  • Aftermarket coil overs -- not really looking for any substantial lift however
  • M210 locking front differential or ARB front air locker
  • Sway bar quick disconnects

Have most parts already: #1 = Replace crash bars with ReadyLIFT "high-clearance anti-intrusion beams". #2 = Install my larger wheels/tires. #3 = SAS fender flares. #4 = Oil catch can. #5 = Level front (probably just 1/2" but only if needed).

Good question. Entertaining a bunch of ideas.
Advice on Catback muffler? (Id like to take into acct that this is a 2.7ECO. I had Borla ATAK on my GCSRT8; that was acceptable) Do not want to be the Suzuki Samurai with Cherry bombs! haha:LOL:
Advice on Accent Colors? Would love suggestions! (Preference is to keep it subtle...Why not keep it black, I know. No orange, yellow)
Ordered the heavy duty FB. Maybe a mistake.
-Light bar insert in FB. 2 stand alones on FB
-Roof Light bar. 6 Hellas
-Pillar lights. 2 Amber
-Rear Bumper (Move) 2 spots
-Cargo lock box

Just getting started!

Rock rails. Back rear seat cover so my Labradors hairs don’t get everywhere. I was thinking of a roof rack but I’d like to see if my bike will fit inside without having to go on the roof. An upgraded front bumper. Aftermarket speakers for the interior (didn’t opt for Lux and hate Ford stock speakers).

1. Fog and ditch lights wired to the Aux switches.
2. ABS belly skid plate to drop some weight
3. low profile winch mount or new winch bumper (skinny!)
4. replacement quarter panels with EB squared off fender and no flares
5. New wheels with an offset that tucks the tires in more and still works with 33s (may need a bit more lift)

The modular front bumper on my Badlands needs to get replaced ASAP with the one from 4WP so i can mount the front plate below the winch location.

I will take off the standard rock rails and replace them with the rock rail/steps from 4WP (wish they were frame mounted but they look nice)

I would also like to add the RTR light bar to get a nice Baja look.

After that performance upgrades would start with a larger intercooler.

Ok, I have to ask. I just know there’s a damn good story behind this one. I skipped at least 3 responses, for this one… LOL.
There was a YouTube of a guy in Canada, eh, that explains how our remotes are constantly sending signals out looking for the vehicle. Once thieves (and these are very professional!) identify the location of a vehicle they want, they can actually drive by and capture the signal and codes! They then merely decode it, make their own key and can come by anytime and just drive away. Since I'm Cyber Orange, I'll stand out! lol For about $10-20, you can get a holder that blocks that signal. Yeah, it's a pain since you want to just use it in your pocket or purse....

Add Old school round KC light inside bull bar on top of bumper

Add Fogs to Mod Bumper

Lift level spacer kit on top of Squatch package

See if I can find a muffler for the 2.7 that doesn’t make it sound like a tin can- Rice Rocket !

K&N Drop in filter

About it.
