Was wondering what others have done to color match the MIC Hardtop. Painting or wrapping? What have you done and how is it holding up so far?

Once my warranty expires I’ll likely paint a sandstone color. Love the two-tone look. It’ll be pretty with my Azure.

Bronco roofs should have accent colors not matching colored roofs ... of course that's just my opinion.

Did you scroll to the bottom of the page and look at all the other links regarding painting and coating tops? Every thread on here has similar thread links at the bottom of each page. Just an FYI for everyone.

Yes I did
Not much info either
Not ready to do mine / warranty issues & mullah green backs,
Would rather paint instead of wrap
No paint name manufacturer
No body shop information
No prep work info
I’m sure someone will come around and give some pointers as time passes.
I’m in N Tx , but I am trying to keep up with information on this bronco6g forums for future reference
Would paint top white or HPR to match my rig

I've given pointers (or rather MY opinions on the process) in at least one of those.
I've been somewhat waiting to see how those that were painted fared longer term now.
Early on some said it was nearly impossible.
It's entirely possible and for less than most end up paying.

But it is a process involving several very important steps, products, and of course, paying for the skill of the prep and painting of it.

I've done perhaps a dozen Jeep tops in my day, probably 3/4 of those in some shade of bed liner material, some actually painted to match or contrast.
It's not a 1 day job but it is not a two week long affair costing $6K either.

There’s a Texas Metal episode where Ekstensive did a Bronco and painted the top to match. Appears he just sanded a lot and used the correct primer (whatever that is).
