Speaking of which, what's the dynamic load rating on the factory rack? 😉
110 Dynamic, 450 Static. I weight in at 240. Being 6'4". I may need to lose weight, or find an upgraded roof rack 😆

If you have one, you would have to switch out the tent for roof racks from time to time? Certainly if you use a cage tray? I wouldn't want to drive all the time with the tent but would like to have the roof racks to give a taller look.

I thought the big reason was you can have a big/fancy RTT and not lose valuable interior cargo space for the tent (and whatever you leave in there - like pads). That is a big plus on space-lacking vehicles like a bronco.

Also, they look cool and get more instagram likes.

I almost laugh at the "Protection from bears" comments, because we all know bears can't climb :sneaky: Mountain lions can jump & climb like no tomorrow as well. Heck I have a large coyote that jumps my 6 foot wall daily like it's not even there on his way to our neighbors property.

Go ahead and maul me, but please keep your paws off my Bronco.

I think it also has to do with "will the Bronco tip over cornering" because it's top-heavy.

Ground camping may prevent this. Just be sure not to leave food in your truck. Bears will tear a vehicle apart for a candy bar. plenty of vids of that as well

That would seem fair lol. Especially if some order the factory 2" lift. And then add a tent.

Thanks, I'm getting a 2022 so have a lot of time to pick out a tent, but yes, definitely! If you have a winch, you gotta have a tent.
