What are you cross-shopping the Bronco against?

I stopped by the Toyota Dealership Sunday and looked at Tacoma's and Tundra's. I had an 07' Tundra but sold it to a co-worker because it needed some maintenance I wasn't ready to spend money on and bought my Grand Cherokee because I heard the Bronco was being reintroduced. Still going to stick with it because there is nothing wrong with my current ride and I have a company van that's my DD. I would like to get the Bronco by September with my first day Res but keeping my options open in case Ford has more delays. Even then I'm still probably staying the course. More $ saved for that down payment.

Just bought a Gladiator Rubicon. I put off this purchase in hopes that the Bronco would have at least a 5K tow rating.
Bought it out of state. Drove home 600 miles combination two lane and highway. Very pleased with it.
Can't wait to see the Bronco, wishing everyone the best.

If there were any concrete info on a new FJ I'd seriously consider holding off to see how that turns out. This is an extra / purely utilitarian car for me so Toyota build quality and longevity would be hugely appealing.

The one you really want is an RS4 Avant... ditch the Haldex FWD BS architecture that plagues the 3. If BMW brought the M3 wagon here I'd skip the Bronco, sell a car or two and consolidate down to that for everyday duties.

I’ll wait until I see a Bronco in person( hopefully before 22MY ordering). A base model 3rd gen raptor caught my attention as well.
Bronco would be a toy in addition to my truck. A raptor would replace my truck.

Raptor also has a decreased payload. The base raptors are like 1300lb. The others are 900. A Ranger Tremor is 1700.

So I'm all in on the Bronco, but when it comes time to actually place my order, I will be looking at a few different vehicles to get an idea if the Bronc is really what I want to buy. So tell us, what are you cross shopping the Bronco against and why?

If I order a Bronco, it'll probably be a 2-dr Badlands, 2.7 auto, High Package, Towing Package, Roof rack. Looking at about $50k invoice w/ destination.

Here's what I'm looking at to compare:
2021 F-150 XLT Super Crew w/ 3.5 Hybrid (or 3.5 EB / 5.0 V8) FX4 package - $49k MSRP
2020 F-250 XLT Super Crew w/ 7.3 V8 & Tremor Package - $51k MSRP
2nd Gen. Raptor Super Crew - $45k-$55k depending on miles

And then out of left field:
Jeep TJ soft-top/half doors w/ I6 + 18ft. bowrider boat - $30k-$40k total

The topless cruising that the Bronco and Jeep provide call to me, but also I like big vehicles and big engines, so that F-250 w/ Tremor is really enticing (especially if I can find one with $10k on the hood like most full-size trucks). I have NO need for a truck (but I also have no need for a Bronco).

What will you all be looking at instead of the Bronco? I assume lots of 4Runners and Gladiators?

Need to have a MT. So if not a 2dr or 4dr Badlands (need to have the heated seats, why can't i just order a BD!) 2.3 with manual, down to a Dodge Challenger RT, or a used Toyota FJ Cruiser, or even a Toyota Gen 3 (1996 - 1999) 4Runner with manual.

I think I read 1400lb for 3rd gen raptor with 8200 towing. My f150 has 1600-1700 lb payload. That’s impressive if a ranger tremor has a higher payload than my truck.

I’m crossing shopping gen 3 raptor, f150 tremor, 2022 EV f-150, 2023redesigned super duty. Im have an August bronco reservation with Hank Hill (Stephens) and my delivery for 2022 will probably be summer of 22 anyway.

I've stopped looking for Bronco alternatives, it will get here when it gets here. Instead channeling my car shopping urges to GF's next ride. If this Golf R Wagon comes to the U.S. going to do my best to talk her into a VW.
