What are you using your comms radios for, and what do you have? (VHF, GMRS, FRS etc..)

Nope, never been released. The MXT500 was also listed as sold out before it was released.

A rep said they might be out earlier than Summer. It was supposed to be released over a year ago.

Kind of leading towards the 275 love how easy it is to setup with the adapter that plugs in the glove box I seen the 575 does not come in with the plug adapter you have to hard wire it. Is the 275 a decent system would love your opinion

I have the Midland GMRS MXT275 and just waiting on my Bronco. I'm old school and always had a CB back in the day. GMRS is the new CB's of today. Also have 2 handhelds Midland GMRS to use for spotting.

What kind of holder do you use in the Bronco for the Midland?

I do but it’s on our FB group. Not sure if I’m allowed to share here, but here the gist..(disregard the number on the pics. I had them numbered for the FB post)..

1) Start from the rear to run antenna wire. Punched a hole through the grommet to gain access to the other side of the tailgate. (#7 in the pic).

2) From the inside of the tailgate (hopefully you don’t have a tailgate table other wise you will need to remove that), you can fish the with through the the top by removing the plastic piece (if you don’t have a tailgate table). (#8)

3) Follow the rest of the wires and run the antenna wire with it. (#9) i decided to go bellow versus going into the panel. Follow the channel (#10) . When you get to rear passenger, you can pop the plastic and meet the rest of the wires from there and run all the way to the passenger footwell. Under the glove box you can see a bracket sticking out and you can mount the base bracket there.

4) i ran a mic extension from there to drivers side so driver can use it. You can unplug the extension if you want passenger accessibility.

5) For power, i wired directly to the battery so it can be used even if the vehicle is off. I did add a quick disconnect so the base unit can be removed, moved, or stored somewhere for security if need be. (#12).

6) just recently added the JCR Molle panel (center consol) for the mic to hang.

7) for the antenna, someone is making me a custom mount, that will go on the spare tire carrier..

Been working on adding a FT-857d to mine. Still not positive on how or where I'm going to mount the faceplate, but I'll get there.

I also need to clean up and paint my rear antenna mount. I added 1.5x4 LEDs to the tire mount to make up for removing the 3rd brake light.

Yeah, it's just inside where the roll bar comes down. It'll be hidden when the panel goes back on.

Finally got the head unit and mic cord extension mounted.

I need to scare up a mic clip. This was an open box radio that didn't come with one.

Here’s my Anytone dual band install so far. I’ve only mounted it and will be wiring it up tomorrow.
The mount is held in place using the bolts in front of the cup holders, I removed the little metal Bronco plate and put it in the glove box for safe keeping.
I might re-mount in another location, but will test this spot for now.

mic is mounted with a magnetic phone mount from Scoshe. I had to use epoxy to glue the metal tab on the back of the hand mic.

Antenna is a lip mount on the hood, I also have a taller 6db antenna stored in the cargo area.
Thinking of mounting this ghost antenna in the cargo area as well.

And mounted the antenna inside, with the unit behind the rear interior panel.
