What are your expectations for the day you take delivery of your new Bronco?

No joke, will pick it up and drive straight to garage to keep it cool until the sun starts to go down....then go our for an evening stroll.

Go to dealership, give them my dollars, negotiate getting the underbody rust coat, hit the beach with my wife and dog, top down, do I become a patch guy? I don't know, do I go and do some meet ups with bronco enthusiasts on the east coast, hell yeah brother- Hulk Hogan.

3. Finalize paperwork.
4. Drive to nearest bar to rip shots with @StephensAutoCenter

Lol, reminds me of my folks 97? Expedition , Dad passed the carrier just outside of town, called Fieldhouse and told them it would be there any minute, please have it ready by end of the day, as they were about to leave on a roadtrip on vacation. LOL

So I'd like to believe that the day I show up to pickup my new Bronco, it'll be waiting for me in the lot, all shined up with the song of the heavens opening up as I approach it.

BUT, this experience with delays, shortages, B&P confusion, etc., has made me a bit cynical.

For some reason, I have this bad feeling that I'll show up and it'll be missing an option that I ordered. Missing Sasquatch, or High instead of Lux, who knows.

Anyone else?

Zero miles, or at least single digit as it was delivered to the dealer. I got burned on this once before with a "first model" motorcycle I ordered. It was the first in the state. I got notified it was in and I couldn't pick it up that day as I was out of town. By the time I got around to picking it up 2 of my best friends had test drove it. I'm not sure what made me madder, the fact the dealer let someone else ride it or the fact my buddies never let me hear the end of it.

2 weeks out, call insurance guy. Bend over and spread wide, because metro Detroit.

(look up no fault. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of. The unlimited medical is nice, but there's no reason it has to be tied to no-fault)

Day of: show up at 10AM, get disappointingly low trade-in quote, decide to sell it private party. Sign stuff for like 2 hours, then drive it home and hope I can't see any of the new stone chips I picked up.

Tell the salesman I don't need a car walkthrough. Sign papers and leave. I hate having the salesperson slowly explaining every feature I can figure out myself.

Plan A

Rent a car and drive 4.5 hrs to dealer. Sign papers, get the dealer walk through. Then drive follow wife to drop off rental car. Then take 2 days to drive home on country roads.

Plan B

Same as Plan A except drive my 2001 corvette to dealer for a trade-in.
